Thanks for the win everyone! Great to see so many different people voting for it. 1986 gave me a very easy choice with Hijo de la Luna, never been so quick with deciding my entry for a contest.

Now won WV with :pt: and WV Spin-off with :es:, that's kinda hot.

If I didn't know it better I would believe some users here tried to impress me cause Hijo de la Luna and especially Bright Eyes are two of the classics I listened to the most in 2024 so far. Hijo de la Luna was one of my new years hits that Ive listened to in the days of overcoming my hangover and Bright Eyes Ive played in a loop after having watched Watership Down the first time for many years (and it's still as touching as it was back in the days. Didn't age a single bit)

So yeah.. both would be obvious 12s but in the end Bright Eyes had the edge for me. Obsiously the results are absolutely amazing for my liking and it does not surprise me at all... There was no way a different song could fight for the win than these two.
The Netherlands, Ireland (Enya xheart ) and Berlin (electro pop at its best) convinced me as well, with Netherlands being the biggest grower of this spin-off. The first time Ive enjoyed Dutch language.

Thanks to those who gave me points, especially the two or three users who gave me 6 up to 8 points... First I had a world banger in my mind for 1991 that I actually enjoy but I decided to not go with the most obvious choice and put my trust into my favorite German dark-wave duet. The result is okay.. could have been worse
