How on earth is Hollywood allowed?I mean I thought only Countries and Regions could compete in WV, and Hollywood is not even a city (only a district of Los Angeles), let alone a region >,> Mods should put themselves together and start checking if the applying countries are following the rules <.<
I have to agree with this, although they allowed something like "Central London" in the past, so... :?

Rule #4: In terms of this contest, regions tend to be based on political units such as sovereign states; subnational units such as provinces, counties, townships, territories, etc.
And Hollywood is a district and its area is 100% defined: Hollywood - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hollywood is a district in a city... And in the rules not even cities are stated, as they all belong the the said subnational units that you mentioned... Would you say that I could enter and use "Steffan's Home's Backyard" as a region, and let me justify that by saying "Well, it's area is 100% defined in my home's blueprints"?

If the mods are OK with this they should state that districts in forms of a part of a city are allowed too... I'd also like an opinion of other mods as well...

Districts are allowed, nothing in the rules makes them ineligible. Cities are allowed too. They are both sub-units. Stockholm is not a region, is a city, but it was taking part in WV for long. Belgrade is a city too. How can you combine Hollywood district with your backward?
The artist I want to sent was born in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. Then what should I pick if Los Angeles and California are already taken?
If there are problems, then ok, I'll change it to Western USA.

I still do not think that the subnational territories referred to in the rules include Cities and especially districts...
As I said, I'd like other mod's opinions on this matter...
Just change it to Western USA, Fofo.

we agreed that regions like Central London (Hollywood is the same case) will not allowed because it has no sense

I have to agree with Steffan, Hollywood should not be allowed.
Actually Belgrade is a region. Serbia - Administrative divisions
Stockholm is also a region. Stockholm County
I think cities should be acceptable but I think districts within a city should not. Like Trece said, this is why Central London no longer is allowed.
