It's most probably a one off case that shan't come again anytime soon unless it's another theme that really fits something different.

Yes, I agree with Rainy, I think we can call it an exception. Probably me and Rainy haven't thought about the fact that spin offs are strictly linked to WV and regions/countries thing. His idea and my idea about this contest was the same it seems, but I'm sure we would have countries and regions in the future spin offs!

I can understand what you're saying Anna and you have been playing it for so long. Things do get set in a routine. I'm glad you can see how being represented as letters for this edition could work. I'm sure this standard format thing you've got going on isn't going to be discarded. This is a special case where it works to ditch the countries. I appreciate that we're new to this and you've been playing it for the past 3 years, but are there rules written down anywhere for us to read regarding how to run the spinoff? I honestly can't see how being represented by letters for this one edition of the game would have a negative effect on the future editions. I'm sure it will all be fine. No one is trying to change anything here. We're just trying to do what seems right for the theme. Countries just take the focus away from the letters I feel. Don't worry. The spin-offs are meant to follow the outline of WV, unless specified otherwise. And since WV uses countries and regions, that is the way the spin-offs are set up as well.

Thank you Anna for linking me to the rules page. Bit of a silly ask from me really as they are right there on the main spinoff page and I didn't think to look

I do totally understand though where you are coming from. I hope you are really ok with it being like this for just the one edition. I hope it doesn't come across like we're trying to take over or change things here. We genuinely didn't know there was a routine with the contests and countries.




I'm really looking forward to this spinoff though and i'm so happy to see it up and running in a flash with so much interest I hope everyone has fun with the theme.

Now he/she releases singles and albums under the name BLACK. Can I accept him/her for the Letter B even if it's his/her original surname?

Well if this person uses their surname as their main stage name, and that is how they're known to people then i would accept it.

The problem for me was that the only singer on X I came across is Xzibit and I only know him from MTV's Pimp My Ride I don't know any song of his.
