It worked surprisingly well then Your vocals sound really forward and full which is what i'm always trying to achieve but I usually end up with quite a muddy mix. Did you use a particular programme? I always fiddle around in Audacity (as it's free) haha.

And indeed, yay for reverb. Yay for swamping everything in reverb, glorious reverb. A lot of my favourite folk and psychedelic artists drench their recordings in the stuff.

I actually thought my vocals ended up sounding quite... boxy, as if recorded in a closet. I use Adobe Audition for all my audio dabbles.

Yeah, I love drenching vocals in reverb! It's like dipping them in ethereal, otherwordly magic.

My votes have just been sent. At this moment in time I regret entering. To rank everyone in such a way was incredibly difficult. Having to leave two songs out in a glaringly obvious fashion is horrendous. It made me feel very bad and it has been heavy on my mind all week. If there were 20 or so of us competing then it would have been a lot easier. As it is now, it feels incredibly cruel. It's almost like the real Eurovision voting that I think really sucks at the moment, where the juries have to rank every single song. I apologize in advance to those who have missed out on points and to those lower down in my ranking. I've listened to the recordings 4+ times throughout the past week. I wanted to make sure this ranking was as honest as possible. I truly respect each cover and the guts it's taken to put them forward.

I've just voted. It was really difficult to rate this actually and I agree that it was too cruel to leave only two participants with nul points

Sadly, I have some serious personal problems + some issues on work, and as my life is very miserable for a couple of days, I will not be ready to host the results show after the deadline ends. That is also the reason why I am unavailable for the most time. I'd rather not go deep into this, but it really isn't a good situation.

I will prepare everything in the nearest possible period. I apologize for this

I just sent my votes. I feel terrible giving low points or no points to some of you as everyone did such a good job, but what can you do. Maybe we should have come up with a different point system beforehand, ensuring that everyone would get points (like 15, 13, 10, 9-1 or something).

I understand what you are saying Anna, but I think I personally would find that even harder. It's not so much the fact I had to give people 0 points that made this difficult, it was the fact that I had to single out only two people to not receive any points. The fact I had to rank two people at the bottom. If more people took part then the traditional 12 to 1 voting style would have been much, much easier on our conscience I feel. What we've all had to do now is single out two people and that's really horrible. Say if we had your suggested points style, although everyone would get a point, we'd be ranking one person at the very bottom. I'd feel worse doing that.

Yeah maybe, but at least you would be able to give that person a point. As it is now, someone could technically end up with zero points (in the off-chance we all excluded the same person).

Or maybe we should have had a point system, where you would give everyone say... 5 points, except your top five which would then get 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12. Or I don't know.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this spin-off as much as I did! Maybe because of the freedom to choose from any year but far more performances impressed me than in the NSC ESC 2015 one.
