Ladies and gentleman welcome to the 41st Worldvision Spinoff! xcheer One of the biggest halls in the country (Hala Pionir) will be hosting the show that is going to be very different than the other regular spinoffs. This time, the theme of the contest is going to be - karaoke.

Yes, this time 13 of our fellow forum buddies will be showing off their vocal talents in the songs that they chose by themselves. Since this is a Eurovision month, and Eurovision is knocking on our doors, it just makes sense to have this special moment filled with the flavor of our favorite festival.

That's right, tonight we are going to hear 13 forum members that will cover 13 different Eurovision songs. Let's see what they prepared for us...........

And that was all for tonight! xcheer We hope that you enjoyed all 13 performances because our contestants have really put everything they have in stock into their performances.

The voting will be in the classical ESC format, you will send a PM to me (Milos-BC) ranking your 10 favorite entries from 12 (that you will give to your favorite) to 1 (to your least favorite). Of course, you can't vote for yourself. The deadline is: 18th May, 19:00 CET! The show will take place on the same evening, the day before ESC officially begins! xcheer

Enjoy listening and voting! :D

My first listening is done ! ;)

All of you have great talents, but unfortunately for the points, I have to leave out some participants :(

Criteria to vote: Vocal (of course), tempo, tone accuracy, creativity and recording quality :)

I've listened to all the songs. Well done everyone. It's really difficult to give a part of yourself in such a way. Everyone is brave for doing this.

There were three or four here that I feel stood out for various reasons. The others are on pretty much an equal playing field and I don't know how i'm going to rank them. I think it's awful that we'll have to leave two (or three if you're not taking part) entries out of our rankings. I think i'll try and focus on the same criteria as hawadharma. Vocal, tempo, tone accuracy, creativity and recording quality, but I think i'll also add fun in there as well. Those that sound like they are enjoying themselves more and really getting into it. I'll give them all another listen again before the deadline and then send my votes in. Good luck everyone.

I can't say I have a specific criteria when voting in these karaoke spin-offs, because each effort is so different. Of the aforementioned criteria, I think recording quality is not really something I take into consideration, since not everyone has access to the same kind of recording equipment or softwares. :)

^^ I agree, especially because some songs don't have quality backing tracks and then you can't make it sound like it is recorded in a studio no matter what.

I generally judge vocals, performance and the way that someone connected with the song.

Omg! Congratulatıons to all of you! You all are great just because you found a power in yourself to record and to upload. I wish I was among you, but sadly I got sick and my voice now is terrible  It would be a torture for you to hear me
Will listen to everyone soon just because of curiosity :D

That's true, I think i'll scratch that criteria actually. Although naturally it can help to hear the quality of a voice if the recording is fairly clear though. You've certainly got one of the clearest recordings here. I'm really not happy with how i've recorded my voice. I used a cheap usb microphone and it sounds quite metallic. I think it's my own fault though for messing around with reverb:lol:

My votes have just been neatly packaged and shipped to Serbia, with love from Slovakia. I enjoyed listening to the entries, and deciding who to give my lower points to was quite boggling.

It worked surprisingly well then:p Your vocals sound really forward and full which is what i'm always trying to achieve but I usually end up with quite a muddy mix. Did you use a particular programme? I always fiddle around in Audacity (as it's free) haha.

And indeed, yay for reverb. Yay for swamping everything in reverb, glorious reverb. A lot of my favourite folk and psychedelic artists drench their recordings in the stuff.
