Picking my own country for the win feels .. like a bad thing to do. But damn it we really have a chance this year!
I was thinking about it in the shower, if we win again I am going to feel such happiness and pride, countries usually don't win again only after 3 years. Not saying that we already got this in the bag, but I know that SVT are always determined to create winner performances, Christer talked about it in an interview. Swedish delegation got pissed/mad when a light in Sanna's performance last year screwed up in the jury rehersal and they demanded that Sanna should sing again, but they got turned down. Christer explained that they are always working hard to build up that iconic winner picture in the viewers heads, the picture that will stick with in the viewers head and look like a winner. Kind of hard to explain (and please don't take what I wrote as we are the best and are always going to win, just that I know SVT are going to work their ass of to make a win-worthy performance)
But we got great response from the international jury, we are first in the odds and peoples reactions on Facebook was 95% positive, people wrote stuff like '' Stockholm 2016 '' and '' here is the winner! ''. I don't dare to expect that we win, but I cross my fingers hard and believe in Måns. I hate to say this because I will probably be wrong, but I don't think Italy is going to win. Opera has never worked in Eurovision lately and though it might win the jury vote, I don't think a lot of viewers are going to get it as much as we fans do (remember Valentina in 2013?). Estonia has gotten a smaller chance now, they are not really as good as Calm After The Storm, it all depends on the performance they create in Vienna. Australia's song is not really big competition but they also got a chance. I think Azerbaijan could snatch the title, their song is amazing.
My personal winner is Spain or Slovenia, but viewers will probably not understand how great they are ..
So happy for you, but if Sweden wins again, I am going to let Eurovision go. In the years I watched Eurovision I had to see Sweden winning three times and Ireland 4 times. 2 times it was horribly undeserved (1991, 1999) and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO(90min. later)OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
And this year it would feel even worse for me, because Heroes does nothing for me but annoy me. Too many great acts and the one circus act should win? Not for me. This would mean next year will be about gimmicks yet again.
A Swedish win means another year we won't discover a new part of Europe and yet again Scandinavia. But I guess the juries will save us from Popular v.2.0. like they did four years ago.
I don't get how Sweden could ask for a second chance because their gimmick didn't work, excuse me? It wasn't original either, but inspired by iconic Lena. Also the Heroes gimmick is inspired by a Spanish dance act that did the exact same show in 2012 already.
I also don't think ORF will let Sweden run away with outdoing everyone else, because they gave Marvin Dietman the key role of the stage director. He made Conchita look iconic last year and he will help everyone (!) on this stage look iconic and create that magic moment. ORF aims for the biggest TV moments and they don't want to have one act that shines, while the others look shitty. Everyone will have to look perfect on this stage.

I want to win though, I really LOVE it. But no1 else seems to do so, so... I guess it won't.
