Good news for Macedonia and for a few other countries: The EBU, together with the European Union, is working on a new financial package that will help Balkan public broadcasters in need of financial support. These broadcasters include RTSH from Albania, BHRT from Bosnia & Herzegovina, RTK from Kosovo, MKRTV from Macedonia, RTCG from Montenegro and RTS from Serbia.

The EBU isn't helping them with Eurovision being the main goal, the goal is to help poor broadcasters in big financial difficulty and I guess they included RTK in that, even though Kosovo is neither a member of the EU or the EBU.

I just hope it won't be a blank check and they would use that money to force the broadcasters to make crucial reforms instead of things staying the same.

The EU likes to blackmail using money, so it is likely that there'll be some kind of compensation for this "generous" package. If they have a restructuring plan in mind though, it'd be for the better I guess. These broadcasters should be warned that cash doesn't grow on trees.
