The traditional third anniversary of disqualifying and drama festival hopefully will not be suspended any time soon. The journey has started in 2016 with Romania and passed on Russia in the following year.

Whom will Russia give their throne to in 2018? May the best odd win.

Hmm are there any countries still in debt to the EBU that we know about?

Well, if Armenia will win, Azerbaijan of course will withdraw, and I feel it will not be a peaceful withdrawal, but once again a turbulent one like Georgia 2009, Armenia 2012 or Russia 2017.

I'm placing bets on Israel.
They're planning on splitting their broadcaster channel into two separate channels - one for news, one for general TV (Eurovision would fall into the latter). However, this would breach the EBU's requirements as the broadcaster channel must show both news and general TV.
Basically they're penalizing Israel for not being political enough.

Do you think if Israel withdraws we might see some MENA countries joining for a year?

Ukraine. Possibly Russia.

As for Israel, when we look how the EBU's let its rules and standards slip the last couple of years, they're never going to be bothered about a TV channel splitting. Plus, excluding Israel (especially for such a minor thing) would be seen as being really political, they won't go there thankfully :D

Actually the EBU already said that Israel might be excluded if they go ahead with the plan of not broadcasting any news on the new channel. From what I've read, not a single one of the channels after the split will have news, and that goes against EBU's rules.

I had absolutely no idea about Israel. Guess i've been living in a cave.

I doubt there would be some huge influx, but I guess we can't rule out Morocco, Tunisia and Lebanon. It would be clear though that it is only Israel stopping them joining.

Ukraine and Israel

Russia will be back as automatic finalist because EBU wants to repair the damage caused in 2017
Lebanon will partecipate to the contest and this time for real
China will do an interval act :p

I don't think it is stopping Morocco from participating with Israel, but the main reason would be lack of interest from SNRT and the general knowledge by the people. But other factors would be the programming schedule by SNRT on its channels. The main channel would mostly be news andMoroccan stuff, one would be about education, other religious, sport, Tamazight and 1 for just for sports even though there is an international channel for those living abroad. The stuff they programme in the main would Moroccan stuff, Turkish and Spanish tv series.

2M TV would be the ideal broadcaster though due to the fact their programming is based on international events naemly Mawazine and the International Film Festival Marrakech but also big tv shows which includes the programming of CSI, Cuenta Atràs, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, Simpsons and many more even international rights to the popular Masterchef series, X Factor and focuses on music too.

They even boadcasted the news of Sweden winning the Eurovision
