i am so glad estonia is still at the top even though elina has been quiet this month and netta fever is still in full force

i would be happy with so many people winning though

Poor :cy: xcry

Here they send an unapologetic contemporary booty shaker with actual hit potential and it's overlooked :(

Oh well... go :cy: xcheer

Up until last year I have been longing for Portugal to win. I am sort of left in a limbo now... But I would love for another new country to win.

I would love for Spain to win some time soon, I have a special weekness for the language and the country, and 1969 is a veeery long time ago. But I really would not want to see Tu Cancion win, I still find Alfreds voice horrible and the whole song rather annoying.

Cyprus is another obvious choice for a long-waited win. But then again; this year's entry doesnt do the job.

That leaves Bulgaria and the Czech Republic my two most wanted winners on a whole. Belgium would also be a great alternative; only having one the competition once back in the far 80s. If I am only to look at the song; Israel.

I‘d like :fr: to win. It‘s been such a long time since their last victory, the song is brilliant in every aspect and we need more than just sweden and ireland to
battle for the all time record of victories!

Would be thrilled if :mk:, :fr:, or :pt: won but there's genuinely 10-15 songs I wouldn't be too mad to see take the title. Excellent quality this year.

Honestly, there's something very wrong if Netta isn't doing a clean sweep in Lisbon. She is a rare unique event in this game. I just saw a video of the Philippine singer KZ Tandingan doing success in China. Not that they are similar in any way other than in utter amazingness.

Israel winning would bring us back to 2008 and would be reason enough to change the voting system again. The juries were introduced to prevent entries like that from winning.

Yeah, that was a truly weird win I remember, although I was not a bit into esc at the time. Netta winning is due to pure talent and not anything like 2008 though.

RIght now I'm kinda torn between :fr: and :bg:... I want :fr: to win the most because of the song and the impact it might have (and hit-potential) but I don't want them to equal Sweden's number of wins  So therefore I want :bg: to win, but atm it doesn't feel like obvious winner material, hopefully the staging will bring it up to that level. My third option is :il:, but it feels more and more distant now tbh.

I'm almost 100% positive that :il: is going to win, but my personal preference is :ua: or :mk:.

I really like Ukraine's song this year and I know they already won in 2016 (too early for another victory) , but for me that victory was not deserved (not that I don't like Jamala or something, but the song was a bit boring in the high level scenario of that year). So this year I think they have a really catchy and good song (and a fantastic perfomer) and they deserve to win (though Melovin really needs to improve his english).

As for Macedonia, the song is catchy as hell. Also, mixing genres is not that easy and they absolutely slayed that with those reggae parts. Kudos to Macedonia for that chorus, I sometimes find myself singing it unintentionally.

Anyway, I wouldn't be mad if :fr:, :it: or :dk: won.

THYWAS is not even relevant in  - how should it be able to be relevant after years in ESC?

I mean Alexander stayed Relevant years after ESC.

Unlike THYWAS Fairytale had huge chart success in Norway after winning the national final. I really doubt people in some years will look back to this song and this performance and say "Wow.. great song, great performance, worthy success"
