Well, my mother has no intrest in Eurovision. Last year during the second semi, we had guests at house and the tv was on and she was watchING ESC only briefly. When I asked her who she liked the most, she said she didn't pay any attention about the show (expect the polish performance), but she remembers those 'who were singing about the forest' - she doesn't speak English, so she didn't understand the lyrics. When I was thinking about which song could that be, I found out it was Georgia

My mum is like most of yours, she never misses an opportunity to criticize Eurovision, but she always ends up watching it with me and telling me which songs she likes

My mom hates almost every song from the past 10 years... :'D But as she used to be a huge ESC fan herself I know among her favs are :fr: 1990 and :tr: 2006. My dad on the other hand likes anything sent by Turkey iirc. To this day I still catch my sister singing Is It True. :'D

Both mom and I hated "Suus" before ESC, but when I called her after the semi she was like "Well I gotta say that that screaming woman was actaully pretty good"

I really ought to get my Mum to listen to a few more then! She is an ABBA fan and keeps surprising me with her knowledge of the slightly less-than-recently successful ones (ie 1970s/80s)!

I haven't had her listen all of the songs, maybe half or so, if that. I should do another listening sesh with her soon.
But so far I think she has liked :it: and :es: mostly because of the languages and she's a big fan of Italian music anyway, because it reminds her of her youth when Italian music was a huge deal. She said she wants Italy to win.
She also likes :nl: a lot and our song as well. I showed her :sl: thinking that she wouldn't like it, but she said that yes, she surprisingly liked it and she liked her interesting voice and the violin. She thought the song stood out and couldn't really explain why, it just does. That's when I realised that oh, maybe this song could have big chances.
So yeah. I guess I should have her listen to all of the songs actually, since I did only show her the ones that I just found worth it.

Last year she liked :nl: and :sm: and :at: the most .. I don't remember about the previous years, but in 2011 she loved :az: the most from the start and it won. :D

Not wanting to dance anymore, but I must dance
I managed to convert my family into ESC fans last year but they prefer to wait and hear the entries when the shows happen.

My dad just judges the vocal ability and song. After Conchita's semi final performance last year he said, "That's the winner." He wouldn't even play along and do points with us because, "There's no point in giving out points if there's only one winner."

My mom's favorites last year: :de:, :uk:, :it:, :nl:, :is: (she wasn't able to see the semis)

My brother's favorites last year: :fr:, :de:, :is:, :se:, :nl:,, :it:, :me:, :pl:, :mk:, :pt:, :be:

I casually put some of the songs on in the car and gauge her reaction from that  I've not had the chance this year yet though haha...

Ones I know she loved:

:uk: 2013
:dk: 2013
:uk: 2014
:es: 2014

and I know she hates :uk: 2015

I remember my dad was a big fan of :hu: 2012 and :hr: 2013...

2010 :be:
2011 :az:
2012 :se:
2013 :dk:
2014 :nl: & :hu:
2015 :ru:

I had a massive sit through with her and she listened to all 40! Dedication ;) we used a recap and then listened to some of them again in full

Personal favourites in order:
:ru: Russia
:se: Sweden
:az: Azerbaijan
:pl: Poland
:mk: Macedonia
:ro: Romania
 Norway

I'll post her comments for each of them too (sorry she is pretty negative :p ):

:es: Spain - Good, catchy tune, surprisingly spain sent something decent and listenable
:pl: Poland - good, I really like this one
:dk: Denmark - would've been good 20 years ago
:ee: Estonia - meh I'm bored with this one
:mt: Malta - alright, a little boring, needs some oomph.
:hu: Hungary - Utter crap, needs to get going
:sl: Slovenia - Absolutely fab song but not keen on the singer
:lt: Lithuania - Doesn't do a lot for me sorry
:ie: Ireland - sweet song but a bit boring
:it: Italy - listenable but nothing to write home about
:gr: Greece - little too shouty for me
:ro: Romania - quite like this one, good song
:ch: Switzerland - not really sure how I feel about this one
:de: Germany - hate it, she can't sing
:uk: UK - Deserves to get nothing, love this kind of music hate this song
:cy: Cyprus - Sweet song, missing something, nothing stands outforgetful
:is: Iceland - good but bland
:lv: Latvia - wailing, wailing next
:fr: France - boring, screamy and crappy song - like most things France send nowadays
:ge: Georgia - like the song, needs more though
:rs: Serbia - it's alright, nothing special
:by: Belarus - doesn't do anything for me
:md: Moldova - Utter crap, move on
:nl: Netherlands - okay chorus but verses are missing something
:cz: Czech - it's okay but a bit boring and not catchy
:fi: Finland - awful song
:be: Belgium - not a fan of this, bit too modern for me
:mk: Macedonia - Really like this one
:pt: Portugal - Really boring and doesn't go anywhere
:am: Armenia - too many people singing, they really don't need 6
:il: Israel - not a fan, the lyrics are strange too
 Norway -brilliant song however they can't sing well together
:se: Sweden - will do very well, like the light show and him
:al: Albania - sounds alright
:ru: Russia - Best song you've shown me, very good entry
:az: Azerbaijan - A catchy ballad, nicely done!
:at: Austria - awful and boring, but will do better than the UK
:me: Montenegro - boring ballad
:au: Australia - Sounds almost 80s disco, a bit dated, expected more for them
:sm: San Marino - It's a pretty good song but nothing catchy or stand out so will be completely forgotten

Other thoughts:
:uk: UK last and :fr: France 2nd last
:fi: Finland will do well for the wrong reasons

My mum is not a fan of eurovision, and never listen the songs before the Final.
BUT,
at the big night, she only says "THIS", and guess what !
She predicts the winner !
She is the average viewer of Eurovision, so i always count on her opinion.

So my parents responded well to Norway & Australia, not at all to Germany & Israel, and badly to Slovenia (!), the UK, and especially Georgia.
