Mans' song is not really a very uptempo song. It starts sorta country-like midtempo, then it has a chorus, and along with all that some cartoon projections that look good on the screen (like Ukraine 2011). xshrug A very uptempo song from your NF would be "Make me la, la", then it would be "Sting" I would say..

What about "Möt mig i gamla stan?"

Yeah in the beginning perhaps but in the middle it's really up-tempo. And her (2011) performance was in no way as good or complicated as Måns is, it was just weird
Nobody looked at her song in 2011, they were all looking at the background what the sand artist was doing. She could have sang a political or a very vulgar song, nobody would have cared. Same thing with "Heroes". Those cartoons are lovely, but have nothing to do with what he is singing. And to be honest if the Belarussian guy sang that song without the cartoons, he would be at the bottom of the ranking here!! Also Mans' performance isn't that complicated. Eric's "Popular" was more complicated.

What about "Möt mig i gamla stan?"
That one is uptempo too, but when I mentioned those and I forgot "Dont' stop" too, I meant it goes from the start and it's fully upbeat, which would be nice to see on ESC this year.

These odds look more political than fair to me. How much budget do record companies have to influence the odds?

The bookies aren't reacting well to Azerbaijan's entry for now.

Well they don't seem to be reacting well to anyone. Everyone is pretty much in the red. Even two for Sweden are red.

Azerbaijan's entry... a winner? Doubt it. You have to remember that the odds are for who will come first, if a country was 99% guaranteed to come second, their odds could well be at 900/1 or whatever

I guess it will look almost the same until we arrive at ESC-week and the rehearsals start.

:me: might climb after their song is released

I wonder why Slovenia fell back to nr 7. Also it seems as though Australia will soon take over Estonia in the odds.

:se: :it: :ee: :au: has sailed away by a huge margin over the other countries now in the odds. Interesting if it will still look like this after the rehearsals

In what way??

BTW, Slovenia is so underrated. IMO it's much better than Italy, Australia and Estonia.

In the way that a lot of countries are overrated as hell and even more are completely underrated.
Looking at their current Top 10 ...
1. :se: (completely agree)
2. :it: (yeah dream on - overrated as almost every year)
3. :au: (slightly overrated)
4. :fi: (oooooooooooverrated - they will even struggle to qualify if the juries do their job right)
5. :ru: (agree)
6. :sl: (overrated - will struggle to reach the top 10 imho)
7. (slightly underrated but still acceptable)
8. :az: (agree)
9. :is: (overrated - seems more like middle of the road material)
10. :uk: (do I really have to say anything?)

on the other hand their bottom 10...
40. :pt: (seems likely)
39. :ch: (underrated - will be on the edge of qualifying)
38. :sm: (the'll finish last)
37. :md: (agree)
36. :ge: (sure qualifier - with those countries in it's Semi and the draw)
35. :me: (agree)
34. :de: (as you can imagine this one pisses me of the most - It's so ridicules that it's almost insulting)
33. :at: (Will finish bottom 7 in the final,I guess)
32. :pl: (With that draw? unlikely)
31. :ie: (agree)
30. :dk: (agree)
