It looks like the bookies listened to :lv: entry today! It's now 15th in the list and rising in all the betting agencies.

I am surprised :se: is not higher (even under Finland .. ?) because Måns is probably going to be sent to Vienna. First of all, it's up-tempo and this year is all ballad, and his performance is outstanding

Yes but it's all about the staging for the song, without all that fancy lighting picture stuff he has, then the song isn't anything more than standard. I do accept that it has more chance though purely because of the lack of uptempo music.

I'm not talking about Estonia here at all, and I never said that it was. I was just giving my opinion on "Heroes" and that song alone.

The point is that Estonia is very high on the odds. So why is that song so high if it's about too standard songs??? IMO, there's nothing unique about the Estonian song.

That's your point, but my point is nothing to do with that. I was simply giving my reason to FFS as to why Sweden wasn't higher in the odds.

What AshleyWright wanted to say is that if you closed your eyes you wouldn't hear anything special. Just standard pop, but if you listened eyes closed for another song like Italy or Estonia, then the goodness of the song wouldn't change a bit. Why they are more up there with the bookies is because they would probably get more jury votes. It's easier for bookies to predict jury votes then public's. And Sweden is down there because THEY HAVEN'T CHOSEN THE SONG YET. You think because of probobal win Sweden should be first in the odds right now?

Mans' song is not really a very uptempo song. It starts sorta country-like midtempo, then it has a chorus, and along with all that some cartoon projections that look good on the screen (like Ukraine 2011). xshrug A very uptempo song from your NF would be "Make me la, la", then it would be "Sting" I would say..

"Don't stop", "Make me (La la la)", "Sting" and "Building it up" can be considered fully uptempos in that semi I guess. Out of those 4 "Make me" and "Don't stop" all the way!

Some people is very cocky (FFS) or showing bad behaviour (SG) and sometimes It's really embarrasing that I have the same nationality as these people. You should know that I'm not cocky anymore. I can say that I was until the years 2005 and 2007-2010

Filip: Just stop with "Why is not Sweden nr 1" it's pathetic, none of the songs in our final is winning material in Vienna (counting Måns too)

Agreeing with you here that Sweden is placed about right in the odds at the moment (though Finland shouldn't be ahead of them). But not having chosen the song yet doesn't usually impact upon the markets too much if there's a clear favourite. From what I can recall, Sweden and Denmark were both at the top of the betting odds before they'd selected their entry in their respective winning years (2012-13) because people saw potential Eurovision winners in their national finals. You can also look at it from the other direction to show how betters assume particular winning songs - Germany and Spain were both up at the top of the odds last year with the assumption they'd choose an artist with winning potential (Santiano, Madeline Juno or Unheilig for Germany; Brequette for Spain) only to fall dramatically down the odds upon selecting somebody else.

TL;DR Sweden's probably placed about right in the odds at the moment, and it's not likely that there'll be a huge change to their odds after MF if Mans wins. They could change from 9 to 6 or 7 or something (or widen if there's an odd winner), but it's not like they'll suddenly end up under 3 to top Italy in the odds.

Yeah in the beginning perhaps but in the middle it's really up-tempo. And her (2011) performance was in no way as good or complicated as Måns is, it was just weird

Who the fduck are you to say? Please, stick to your oppinion and I'll stick to mine, no need to bash mine. You can argument against it but you can't stop me from having the oppinion that Sweden is going to be one of the strongest this years, incoming butthurt '' Swede's are rude '' coming!!!

Stop putting others down, it's just really unnecessary and mind your own oppinions. You are always really negative and pessimistic rarely giving positive comments about anything.

I hope the odds are completely wrong because i highly dislike the top 5 for now. (Really not "my" eurovision this year so far :( )
(It might change if Norway choose the good song IMO and if Swedish leave Mans in Stockholm and bring someone else to Vienna.
