Well, I don't expect :au: to win because it's :au:, but I think they won't gonna waste their chance and bring in a big name into the contest. They take it more seriously than most European countries, which only send no names, while big names are shying away. That might make a difference, so they could really win.

If Sia or Kylie get the ticket to Vienna, I don't think no one can stop Australia from winning.

Haven't made enough PRO UK comments for one day??? All you want is favour for your beloved UK.

Hypocrite, all do is bang on about your beloved Sweden and how its better than everyone else. You clearly have an anti-UK agenda because you see us as a threat, or a potential threat at least.

SuperGirl, you seem to represent a very nationalistic version of Sweden too. You give, you get.

Of course I'm do that but some UK members are extremely.

I mean some people want Australia to win so UK can host it!!!! What about to send better songs and then host it when UK actually wins and deserves to host it,

Do you really think they would agree? Do you really think they care about ESC?

Actually I already dreamt about Sia being in Vienna long time ago, swinging on a huge chandelier over the audience, while Maddie is performing her dance on stage. Epic dream!

:se: 3rd?!

Are they relying on that Zelmerlöw has the winning song or maybe Saade?

Don't worry, Sweden is always high up and with all rights! The international jury we have in our NF is gold. And the songs we have in our NF is always good material

Where do you see Italy at 5? The ones listed by oddschecker.com have Italy at 8, 10, and 33/5.

I can see why the bookies want to be careful around Australia - not necessarily because we're a shoe-in for the win, but rather because we'll be such an unpredictable factor, the dark horse of all dark horses. Depending on how our participation is received we could be anywhere from first to last, and assuming our song is slightly different from the usual Eurovision fare there'll be even less for them to go by when making odds. I think they're just safeguarding against a situation where they put us at average odds (40/1), we win through a bunch of unpredictable factors, and they have to make a huge payout. The Western bias in those sites is probably a part of it too - with perhaps the exception of last year, the odds on the UK and Irish entries have been laughably short (I remember Englebert and Bonnie both being somewhere in the top 10).

That said, I don't think an Australian win is entirely unlikely, due largely to the unpredictability I mentioned.

I think the novelty of Australia participation will help a lot. But still, you'll need a good song to win.
