I can't just choose one year. Sorry. :p

:se:

1984 - "Kall Som Is" - Karin & Anders Glenmark (OK, I know we won this year and I'm not complaining, but Kall Som Is will always be a better song)

1987 - "Högt Över Havet" - Arja Saijonmaa (though, my childhood self would have picked "Alexandra" by Sound Of Music haha)

1990 - "Handen På Hjärtat" - Sofia Källgren (though, 1990 is my favorite MF year so I love almost all of the entries from that year - even "Som En Vind"!)

1993 - "Vågornas Sång" - Monica Silverstrand

2002 - "Sista Andetaget" - Jan Johansen

2004 - "Älvorna" - Sarek

2005 - "Håll Om Mig" - Nanne Grönvall

2008 - "Lay Your Love On Me" - BWO

:sl: 2008 replace Rebeka Dremelj with Manca Spik :)

I'm thinking in a very risky way here. Don't get me wrong I love "No One" and "Vanilija" but I think "Ladadidej" would have done well too, especially in English. (I rarely say that, but there we go).
:sl: 2011 April- "Ladadidej"

I think that "Še vedno nekaj čutim" would flop on ESC, but it's not a bad song. :)

I actually liked "Ladadidej" more than "Vanilija" at the very beginning, but "Vanilija" really grew on me later. I think that we would qualify with both songs but "No one" was the right option . :D

For 2008, I'm glad that you sent "Vrag naj vzame" instead of "Heavy Weather". I thought that the Slovenian version was much better than the English version :)

No kidding! "No one" was one of my favorites from 2011. Though, when I was watching EMA, I thought that "Ladadidej" was the song that was going to win :)

I agree, Slovenian version was much better. I especially liked the original one (presented on EMA). :D

Although "Ladadidej" didn't win, it became one of the biggest hits in 2011. It gained A LOT of (deserved) airplay. The song is totally catchy and I hope that April will try again in 2013 (I kinda doubt it).

By the way, the song was produced by Raay, one of the 4 jurors in "Misija Evrovizija". He is one of the best producers atm (he also produced some of :sl: FSC entries). :D

YES! YES! YES!
Glad you agree! :D Nanne received the highest score from the voting public and she would have gone through had it not been for the jury who favored Martin Stenmarck.

That is BWO's best song in my opinion. I think it would have done really well in the ESC.

"Addicted to you" and "Magical sensation" wasn't bad too

Yeah, I forgot about Magical Sensation, was just perfect, I'm still stunned that it didn't reach the final. Addicted to you was to repetitive for me tho :) & Tanja Dexters will never sing as a legend

Magical Sensation was definitely my favorite song of that year. Wonderful song.
