Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

Ok, I just need more time to get used to it. ;)
I mean, in the previous system it was clear and obvious which post you were awarding with a "like", now there will be confusions I suppose.

There shouldn't be, if everything works out according to our plan. The goal is to move the Like button back to where it was but it takes some time. We're only talking cosmetics here.

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

It's all good, relax. We are still working on the new like system. As you can see, it's available underneath your post so you can still like any post you want. We're now focusing on the visuals and do our best to make it look like the old one.
Will it be under every post from now on, or is this a transition thing while you're working on it? The way it looks now is a tad confusing, if this is the intended placement. I hope it will go back to being embedded into the post, rather than a separate thing down below.

The intent is to have it embedded into the post.

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I noticed you can no longer un-like posts. Is that intended?

EDIT: Just wanted to thank you guys for doing all the work to keep the forum safe from the technical side, and as well for addressing the complaints remarks from the users! xup

it's a different plugin so I'm not 100% sure of its functionality. But we'll find out soon.

You are probably still working on it, but just wanted to ask anyway. The way the like-notification system worked before, allowed you to see a "preview" of the post being liked when you went to the likes page. There were a couple of lines from that post visible, so you knew which post it was without having to click on it. Now there is just a list of thread titles. Sometimes you get multiple likes for different posts in the same thread, so it would be handy if we could get this feature back, to eliminate the need for clicking on every thread in the list to see which post received a like.

Thanks. :)

Why cannot you not unlike anymore? I'm always accidentally liking posts while scrolling and now they are permanent.

It's up to the system we're using for likes now :/ but maybe we'll be able to work around that :D

Ok. Fair enough. It's not a massive issue, so if it can't be fixed easily then don't worry.

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I was wondering if there is anything up with the servers or something to the site, because revallsay say's she cannot access the site at all and it's just constantly loading. It's not her connection or ought because everything is working fine there, it's just ESCUNITED not working.

And the weird thing is, I can access the site at my computer at work. I hope I can fix it somehow.

Forum's IP could be in your provider black list, since all other members have access to it

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

Any chance of updating the "Other ESC related contests" area? "From Wonderful København to Singing in the Rotterdam rain !" is almost 3 years old, as is JESC 2003 - JESC 2012!
