Pardon if this has been asked before, but what the heck are referrals and why do I have one?

When the new user is registering on the forum, there is an option to write if someone recommended a forum to that new user which is called referral I guess that someone wrote your username

I also had like 934 notifications, when I came to the site. And they keep coming and coming and I have no idea, why xwhat

We have changed the "like" system, and all ever "likes" received were moved to new one, so it shows like you received so many

I have 7946 actually

We are still working on it, so don't pay many attention to it

We are removing the 'Like" ling as you know it due to some security issues and are adding the new like link that you noticed already. We don't want you to lose all the likes you have received so far so they are being transferred over. It is possible that they are now popping up as "New" which I didn't realize but there is nothing wrong with the forum itself. I'll check and see if this can be avoided for the rest of the likes.

It's all good, relax. We are still working on the new like system. As you can see, it's available underneath your post so you can still like any post you want. We're now focusing on the visuals and do our best to make it look like the old one.

Ok, I just need more time to get used to it.
I mean, in the previous system it was clear and obvious which post you were awarding with a "like", now there will be confusions I suppose.
