Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I find that we would need a signature size limit. It is getting too far with some people having signatures filling the whole screen + it really makes the forum slow when i am using some random wifi network when for example being in a bus. I have nothing against having a banner, but some people are having 3 of them and huge political advertises in their signatures. It is not nice when someone writes a 1 liner which has around a page of random pictures after it and does so 3 times in a row.

Yeah something generous like one banner of 600x200 maybe would be nice but some people are going overboard

I saw that and agree with you. I will look into that issue today.

Erm... ''Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 1 line(s).'' :?

I was trying to shorten my signature to one banner, and the link was so long it went to three lines.

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I would personally suggest a pixle limit. That way people can decide how many lines in what font/banners stuff they want. I would keep it at around 200? pixels. I have seen it working in other forums by the mods/ops simply changing anyone they see with a longer signature to something like: This signature was removed by mods/ops. However that would create a bit of extra work in the start.

Regarding the signature situation. I was actually thinking of doing that but I didn't want the mods to get even more stuff thrown on their plate but it is being considered.

The flags will be added. I just need to reorganize the smilies first.

Is it possible to have another style available? I'm not realy into the "swimming-pool" style and it's a little bit too visible at work...

Imo we will all get used to the colour and style eventually so it's best to wait a bit before coming up with suggestions to change it, after only 1 day of it.

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I have no problem at home with this style, but when I'm at the office well it's not the same

And as I know this forum is able to manage style, I ask that's all ;)

Anyway, if the Admins want it to be the only style available, it's their "home", they are the owners, they do what they want and I will not complain about this subject anymore (but I will prefer another answer :p)

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

@yulara.

My ultimate goal is to have 2 styles to choose from. . The current one is very similar to the one we used prior to moving to vbulletin so most members should be familiar with it.

But I will look into a second option. I don't want tons of different styles available as it creates a lot of additional work when updates are being made. Updates will be made on a regular basis. Currently we are working on improving this style by change some icons. So hang in there ;)
