I've a funny feeling that the BBC may be choosing an X-Factor alumni for us. After the news about Ruth Lorenzo and seeing how popular the rumor about Diana Vickers last year was, they might think this is a good option.

I imagine someone along the lines of Amelia Lily or Misha B could be our entrant.

Hmmmm.

Is this based on something you've read or just an opinion/assumption based on the recent news on Ruth Lorenzo?

Anyway, I wouldn't mind an x Factor reject :D Most of them are very good singers themselves and something like eurovision could help them a great deal. People like Diana Vickers, Misha B or Amelia Lilly would be the sort of singer I would go for, and certainly not contestants like Rylan Clark or James Arthur.

The problem is James Arthur is a really talented singer. Nobody in Europe needs to know he's a massive twat :D

Ugh, I can't stand his whiney over emotional voice. xpuke It drives me to insanity. SOOC How he won i will never know.

Alexandra Burke I reckon for the UK. Alex and Ruth were best friends when they were on the show in 2008, good publicity stunt??

We have become friendly in the voting in the last couple of years... why not?

Obviously they vote for us because of the excellent high quality songs from brilliant artists that we send to eurovision every year. Nothing to do with the high numbers British people than have moved there or got holiday villas there?

but all serious out of the past 5 years we've voted for each other twice. I'll call it friendly voting when we exchange votes next year. :D

Amelia Lily has an album out on February 4th, so I doubt, from a promotional perspective, it'd be her. They'd surely release the album in March-May if she was going to do it. But who knows, I'd like to see her do it. She has a great live voice.

Little Boots or Marina and the Diamonds please.

I don't Imagine little boots doing it, In an interview she said she would write a song for someone else to sing, but "the song would have to be just right" for her to sing it, which is basically saying it will take a lot of money and persuasion.

They could always ask her to push it back, I think Bonnies was set for release in October last year, but she was asked to move its release back to may this year. I suppose the album release is just about acceptable in February.

Lilly Allen and Ella Henderson are releasing their Albums in March.

Example, U2 and Professor Green are also releasing albums, but I think the above to are the most likely and wise choices. I use "wise" loosely regarding the BBC...

Amanda Lear has a new album out in March..

Her father was apparently British and she claims she is of British nationality:rolleyes:

Amanda Lear is ageless (in god years) but in human years she's rumoured to be around the 70 mark. This would suit the bbc's love of vintage.. and for once it would be a really edgy, avant-garde kind of vintage.

I think I shall hack into Amanda's computer, burn a copy of the new album to disc and then send it to the bbcxqueenbitch

Yours sincerely, an Amanda Lear fan.

I know someone kind of mentioned it already, BUT OMFG. xfacepalm This is so boring as a british fan. We have absolutely nothing being said/mentioned/rumored. It's driving me crazy, xcrazy Ukraine have selected their entrant, and others are about to start the sequence. And from us, NOTHING. SOOC
