Well I guess he is entitled to voice his opinion although it's crystal clear to me that he is neither a Eurovision fan nor expert for making such bold comments auch as making the suggestion that Jedward has it in the bag. It just shows that he has not listened to any of the songs selected (with those two exceptions).

In the end it doesn't really matter what some celebrities think, it all comes down to the results in May and I have a feeling that Blue is going to prove that dude wrong.

Phillip Schofield? xD he's hardly what i'd call a trendsetter. They'll prove him wrong and he'll be made to eat his words whilst they go on his show!

I actually tweeted him back in a moment of annoyance lol I said something like "How can you say that when the past two winners were Germany and Norway?!" I also noticed the eurovision twiiter account tweeted him too reminding him that the UK came 5th in 2009 getting points from 31 countries! It's stupid annoying things like this which add to the whole "Why do we bother, UK will never win" opinion which seems to be popular these days and it's always said by people who have absolutely no idea about eurovision at all. Makes me so angry but I have to try and stem my opinions so as not to come across as completely insane lol

I don't agree with his point about it being fixed but this is the most overhyped entry ever.

Its another has been group back in ESC like No Angels were for Germany. Both Rybak and Lena where fresh talent when they won and Dima was an established star in Russia not a has been.
They had a few hits at the turn of the century and thats about it, this isn't fresh or new at all just boyband 101.

The only thing that will satisfy some people in the UK is if the UK wins, if anyone else wins it must be a fix.

Absolute nail on the head here. Blue could have released three minutes of avante-garde noise and it would still have the cheerleaders raving about it. It would also be a better song...

Blue could have also entered the best song of the last decade and I get the distinct impression that you would still be on here slating it.

Here here Gazzler...Blue's song is great. You can tell that people love it (just look at the poll compared to others!) If it was career suicide, why would they bother doing it?! Blue are a decnet vocal group which have sold 13m records worldwide most of these in Europe....! Lets just hope to god we do well! I love Philip Schofield...he's one of my idols but after that, he has gone down in my estimation!

So now this forum is a barometer for millions of people, and hundreds of thousands of votes; and national juries?

So.....?

Simply because he doesn't agree with you?

Samb....over the past couple of years the ESCforums have predicted many of the top results with its few hundred members. Whilst it is not a mass total of millions all over EUROPE...it does say something. Yes people can go off people just with their opinions; and I did not expect that type of comment from someone as him.

In regards to 13m records sold, it shows they have something and that their vocals are great. People wouldn't like them that much else!

Best entry for the UK in about 10 years... but still pretty weak (my opinion)

Vanilla Ice's single 'Ice Ice Baby' sold millions worldwide. Did he 'have something' and were his vocals 'great'?

Let's see the evidence then!

Philip Schofield is a typical ITV associate who doesnt know anything about quality and makes statements without any fact or basis. For all we know he's probably been ordered to say it by his bosses!
