...why are people so in love with this preformance..it ain't bad, but I'm not seeing this one as a winner of ESC. I stand by saying that it's a good song, that will easily get top 15, problably top 10!

Still much better than most the crap that usually UK sends, so thumbs up for that! :D xup
Because it differs so much from the crap (as you put it) UK usually sends. :) I like it, it's a "happy" song :D

No-one ia saying they hate it though. Theres a few 00 pointers in the poll but compared to every other song this has one of the best stats which compared to previous years where weve been bottom, its great!

I know it isnt that much to go by but the escforums generally are right...!

Nah, Terry was one of the biggest reasons Eurovision has such a bad reputation in this country. If we won (which I would doubt) it'd most likely be Graham Norton (well, this is a certainty) and Claudia Winkleman

I agree to an extent. I loved Terry as a commentator and thought he was very funny. I don't doubt that he loved Eurovision, but a large part of that love was centred around laughing at it. Looking back, I think he did encourage a negative view of the contest.

I am of the belief that Eurovision has improved over the last five to ten years, but Terry Wogan's approach to commentary didn't really develop with it.

I think Terry did well to cut through the ridiculous seriousness and protocols associated with Eurovision, and this is a good thing.

I would probably disagree that the event has improved over the last ten years, generally speaking.

he didn't stop moaning about the political voting and the ridiculous songs.

The voting was a complete joke up until the 50/50 split. I'd rather have Wogan moaning about that any day than Norton whinging about how our awful song last year got tanked.

I don't recall Norton whinging. As the BBC commentator, he is required to cheer our entry on. However, when we came last, he didn't go looking for anyone to blame. He even tacitly suggested the song wasn't up to much. I can't quote it, but it was noticeable how he said that Josh tried very hard, gave it his best etc, while never complimenting Pete Waterman's song.

I've just listened to this song at least 10 times in succession without realizing it.

I think that says how much I like it.
Again, great job UK. :)
