TVORCHI’s NF staging was done by the same stage director who works with Ani Lorak and Loboda , Oleg Bodnarchuk. Wonder if he will do it for esc or not…

I was thinking the same, then I just saw on Turkish TV (CNN Turk to be precise) with headlines "Ukraine chose its 2023 entrant in a NF held in a shelter, the winner performed with dancers wearing gas masks and nuclear signs" etc etc.

Yay, one of my favourites from that selection won ♥ Love that deep prominent bass, my brain somehow always associates that with Ukrainian music, so it just fits Great choice!

-Doesn't sound that extraordinary

THE VERDICT:
While I like the song overall, TVORCHI is going to have to make their performances count, since Ukraine is already in the Grand Final. More below:

Only because it's winner who got the most votes for being one of the best songs according to audience?

Many countries (Albania, Israel..) do revamps all the time. So what's the point exactly?

It doesn't make sense to me when countries hold a national final and the representatives change the song afterwards. I understand if it happens when it goes over time and they come up with clear and fresh ideas, but almost IMMEDIATELY AFTER winning the national final saying that the will revamp the song just seems very off and awkward to me.

There is nothing wrong with accepting you can improve something you have created, it isn't an admission of failure its an opportunity to reflect and do better

Just my personal opinion tho

It is a bit annoying but it makes totally sense to me:

After the NF, the artists + composers + delegation have read tons of comments on their song and they can adjust elements.

Also, a few countries just put some ressources and money AFTER a song won the competition and therefore, the winners will be invited to Sweden or London to re-record their song (it happened to Ronela).

A few songs get submitted to the broadcaster in a short period of time - sometimes they are just rough demo versions.

revamping has become inflationary and is for me competition distortion - further very unfair to all acts with a complete song.
this little statement applies of course to all (ESC)countries.
