Re: UKRAINE 2016

Well BBC doesn't have advert breaks. But if you want to, then go ahead, you can use it for when I start moaning over our 30 second interval acts until the results are pushed through in 10 seconds.

To be honest I get so frustrated with the dragging out this would be fine for me. As long as the winner gets their time at the end then I won't be upset ;)

Re: UKRAINE 2016

I really love the outcome of the semi, but the overall feeling of the show is so depressing. The jurors are complaining and the artists are either mad (Anastasiya) or sad (Aida) during the critique and the results. It just leaves me sad even though I realize my favourite will win the final.

Yeah, the juries are harsh as hell (except with Jamala). Several of the entrants were nearly driven to tears. At least they are taking it seriously this year, and in what is surely a two-horse race, even if Jamala wins, Ukraine will have a good song. If they select Hardkiss, then they have the ESC winner on their hands.

Re: UKRAINE 2016

Surely Hardkiss will finish top 5 in the final but doesn't the 3rd place from the jury pretty much kill its chances of winning? Especially since they didn't win the televoting and Jamala won both parts :? Unless a few strings are pulled in the back or everyone suddenly has a change of heart

Re: UKRAINE 2016

According to my prediction the number of televoters in the finall will be 300 000+ approx. So televoters can vote differently a lil'.
Waiting for nUAngels in the 2nd semi.

The 1st semi was full of ballads and the 2nd semi will be uptempo.

My faves:
nUAngels
Sunsay
Japanda/Victoria Petryk

I really hope Hardkiss try again next year. Their song is good but they've had better and I'd love to see them at Eurovision someday. But this year is Jamala's year xheart

Not that I am watching X-factor, but I only remember that cheap plastic brick wall...brrr... not impressive.
I doubt they will change everything a lot)) It was already gr8 tonight. They'll probably add the dancers.
ps. I hope Jamala will change her outfit.

Re: UKRAINE 2016

Just had a look back through some of the songs after finishing the other NFs for the morning, and despite initially being more interested in Sweden and Finland, Jamala and The Hardkiss were both far above anything from either of those countries this morning. Would be happy to see either one chosen, as both would come out on top of the 6 entries we've got so far. The Hardkiss have a song that's quite close to the genres I usually like, and especially with a revamp they'd probably be in my top 5 for the year, but Jamala's entry is so heartfelt and unique that I think I have to support her for the win in Ukraine.

Nice to see that the Hardkiss aren't on the first place of the scoreboard tonight, because Jamala was the best by far, everyone was taken aback by her performance tonight !

I don't know how anyone can say that. Unfortunately there is an inbuilt bias for ESC fans to dislike Rock and Metal.

Actually, I do like rock and metal, I sent a rock song to WorldVision this edition in fact. I just don't like The Hardkiss' song. I can't pick out a melody and I can't pick out the beat or the instrumentation in the chorus... as I said, it just sounds like noise to me.

Seriously, just because someone doesn't like one example of a genre doesn't mean they don't like the genre itself.

I was making a general point about the Eurovision fanbase, not necessarily you in general.
