WOW! Everything about this looks really good, I especially like the lighting which looks really effective and dramatic. Every year you can always rely on Ukraine to deliver when it comes to staging. xlove

I knew Semi final 2 is going to have major competition.

The rehearsal must have been a success. I recommend this review from the wiwibloggs guys, it is certainly one of their best:

YAY. That's the kind of response I was hoping for. Even if you don't/didn't love the song, the performance wins you over. Can't wait for next Saturday.

I must see the staging sounds/looks promising, but I still don't get the hype about this song tbh. I don't really like it. It's good, but not my cup of tea.

I must admit that I like more the daring message to Russia than the song itself. It´s not one of my favourites, but one of those I wouldn´t really mind as a winner (like France or Bulgaria).

I still don't like the song at all but I do appreciate the effort concerning the staging. Let's see if it really is as touching as is seems to be when it comes to the live shows...

I'm sososo excited to see this on the stage. I think it will be completely breathtaking on the night as she is just extraordinary. All in all, this is the best entry of the year and I would love to see this win. I still think it's a bit too divisive, but you never know. I hope for a top 3 at least. xpray

I would love to see Ukraine win, France and Russia have been the favourites to win for so long and then bang, dark horse Ukraine comes along. It would be like Austria 2014 all over again :D

It would be amazing to see Jamala winning (and to see Sergey's face when she does xheat ) BUT I sadly don't think that she's going to do all that well with the Western public and juries :(
But then again I would have never thought that Italy would end up as the Televoting winner last year - screw it, go for gold Queen Jamala xsalute

That's what I think, I don't think many people will be able to get past the song itself and her singing to get emotionally attached to it. Ofc that's just my opinion, mainly based on the fact that everyone i've played Ukraine to (or part of) have said the song is awful - even after saying to them what the song is about. Maybe eastern Europe will connect with it better idk.

Same here
When I told them that this song is my favorite they were all like "What? You must be kiddin'!" They were a bit more understanding when I told them what this song is about though.
On a side note I have to say that all those people absolutely hated Latvia last year while I loved it and we all know that this went down quite good. We have to wait and see, I guess.

Yeah this song is not mainstream at all, especially in Western Europe, although I think the juries will be throwing points at this left, right, and centre, I think it's the televoting that's going to be the biggest problem for this entry.

This song is too avant garde to win but the staging might do everything what the song missed.
