And again Ukraine gives a quite mediocre song a lift with a really good stage presentation. Yes, it might be a bit tacky with the hamster - but I am sure televoters all over Europe will pick up their phone for Maria and for Ukraine!
I am still no fan of the song. And there are better voices this year. And better use of backdrops etc. But this thing WORKS, I have to admit...
Prepair for yet another top 10 for Ukraine.

Ukraine has gone for every tiny detail of genius with this. If there was a prize for staging ability it would be handed to ukraine every year. They take it seriously and they make a point of surprising and entertaining us with their endless creativity.
It's totally their craft.

Well, the staging abilities proved a nightmare in 2009 and 2012.

This time the staging is indeed very good, but it only helps making up a boring song (like in 2011).

In 2013 Ukraine had a very strong song, and the staging was toned down, because the song was convincing enough...
