My whole household were very shocked lol. Shows you can never predict! She gave a good performance I just didn't think the song was ever up to much. Congrats all the same, I'm sure Ukraine are really pleased!

All of their points were wtf moments for me and my friends/family watching. That sand animation must've hypnotized Europe!

Congratulations Ukraine! I think it was deserved! It was a pleasure for the eyes and for the ears! My aunt loved the whole concept and I can't say I disagree with her. Very good and very powerful performance!

SHOCKING result. I thought I'd be happy with a Top 10 result, but after that amazing start I was kind of hoping for Top 3, lol. In all seriousness, I wasn't expecting a Forth place, not even in my wildest imagination. I guess it was the fact that the song appealed to soviet tastes, plus she's such a gorgeous song, then such a good starting position, and to top it all off the sand art. Lots of good things going for it, but I was still shocked.

But what was up with the Baltic countries not giving us a single vote. Same with Hungary and Austria. Ugh. Poland was kinda disappointing with their two points. But then I fell in love with Slovakia after that 12, lol.

Mika should now safely return home, haha. It couldn't have been good for her had she bombed tonight considering how the selection process went.

I think the congrats should go to Ksenia tbh. Everyone I talked to who was a casual fan just spend the whole song looking at the sand art and being in shock. The song is good as is Mika, but the sand art won the big points imho. I expect Ksenia is going to become a bit of a star after the rest of Europe just discovered her.
