You think Erdogan would pick the entry? Who knows maybe he'll lose the election... Maybe next time btw when you put something like that out there at least put some arguments with it so we know why you think that way. I personally wouldn't want TRT to participate either but I do know some channels like FOX imo that could do great, TRT would probably just embarrass us and mix politics to ESC

I'm not sure how it comes across in Turkey but he is a dictator and the whole world can see.. and as for not selecting an entry and not winning the election.. He has already decided the result of the election and in the unlikely but not impossible situation that Turkey return to Eurovision, he would determine the singer, song and votes.. anyway this is not the place for politics

second of all you should not even try to teach me Turkish politics in which you clearly have no knowledge of, you can see Turkey in EU thread in politics thread if you want to argue about Erdogan and Turkish politics so much. I've written tons there as well.

And I do not wish to 'argue' with you regarding Turkish politics because the is far too much that I disagree with from invading Cyprus to the Armenian Genocide... so I will not be playing your games!

Well you should not have assumed all of those things, I find that very disrespectful and you should too if you actually disagreed with them. If you don't want politics to be involved then don't start with it and don't add new subjects with each of your posts, bye

Complete BS and so embarrassing to hear this, Eren before anything you should educate yourself and understand that drag queens and transgenders are not the same whatsoever. Honestly not surprised though with this broadcaster TRT, why does anyone still take them seriously and not look for alternatives I don't understand. TRT is completely owned by Erdogan, if you watch their news Turkey is top 10 in the world and top 3 in Europe in everything, economy, education, freedom, military etc. it does not end.

What about 'Huysuz Virjin' which is been a Turkish super drag-entertainer for centuries in Turkey. She even ran a year-end show only recently at age 87 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU_T0xFlsU8
What about transgender legend Bülent Ersoy which has been a respected and appreciated artist also for decades, earning the name 'Diva'. What about the more recent celeb transgenders as Selin Ciğerci or Rüzgar Erkoçlar and many many more LGBT friendly artists.

TRT and Erdogan and their following simply live under a rock and in their own bubble and never look further then that but someone should stop giving these uneducated people any credibility and stop giving them attention making them feel as if they are something... I said it before, I'd rather not participate then participate with what TRT has become these days.

Conchita was not the first drag-queen in Eurovision, we still took part without any problem with the other drag queens. I still am perplexed with Erdogan's government and how ultra islamic they always are when speaking to foreign media and foreign leaders, not that they are atheist in Turkey XD but here they mostly are about nationalism and all here oh and about bashing the opponents more then anything else, lots of that.

Just Erdogan's reign in years. He's the only one stopping the comeback its obvious because he does not want Turkish people to feel united with the Europeans again. His reign should not last too long anymore tbh. I give him max 2-3 years before he completely fucks it up for himself.

Same here. Unfortunately, his reign will last a lot longer than we want to believe. I still hope that when that day comes, Turkey will come back strong at ESC. And I keep my fingers crossed so much! Turkey gave us great Songs. Mor ve Ötesi - Deli is one of my all-time favorites! One of the ESC-songs I still listen to today!
