The song was simply okay, not strong enough though. I had a feeling that Turkey wouldn't qualify and when I said it on a different forum, people thought I was crazy, lol. With countries like France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany that usually vote for Turkey voting in the other semi, Yuksek Sadakat were already in trouble.

It'll be weird having a final without Turkey, but to be honest, the song itself didn't deserve a lot, no matter what country sent it. Hopefully this will finally put all the "Turkey and Armenia will qualify no matter what they send" arguments to rest.

Add Russia to the pot but this country has to fail at least once yet.

Turkey finished 13th with 47 points in semi

Actually they've been 14th. They got exactly the same points with Albania. Thank god that band never disappointed me for a second :D
Hope something helped TRT to open its eyes.

22 of those points came from Albania and San Marino, neither of which are neighbours with Turkey or known to have large Turkish diaspora. Meanwhile, the countries that do have a lot of Turkish disapora mostly gav Turkey 0-3 points.

You forget that juries vote as well. Turkey always gets many points from Albania and they might not be close neighbours but they are "close" friends. Plus, it's very possible that Albania didn't use televoting in the semifinal ...

Well, everyone has to fail sometimes, even Turkey.....but I honestly didn't believe that will happen with this song. They were good in the semi, I liked the stage show as well (even though it is true that it's too similar to Manga's) and was sure they were going to make it. It is a shame because you managed to pass and end well with some (imo) quite bad songs (like "Dum Tek Tek") while you didn't qualify with this, quite good one. I guess the main problem was that the song is not the one that grabs you as soon as you hear it. I didn't start liking it on the first listening myself but later. Too bad, but this is an obvious sign that something has to be changed. I'm sure Turkey will come back stronger than ever next year.

You may wanna rethink your accusations considering that the juries gave 58 points to Turkey while the televote gave them 54.....
I guess your conspiracy doesn't really add up I'm afraid!

but we were 13th in juries' votes though we got higher point than televote while we were 10th in televote, which was enough to make it to the final.

Right but the point was the jury was accused by that particular member that they were "against" turkey when in reality the jury put more points into the total pot than the televote which kind of proves the point the jury wasn't trying get Turkey kicked out of the Finals.

But i mean about the ''Technical Difficulties live'' who Poland & Stella was complaint about it on the first 5 songs on the semi... its seams for me that was an well-done plan to try to harm Armenia and Turkey, and Russia kick out of the semifinals by the jury, cause if they have given a good presentation and smooth voice, no one will stopped them advancing to the final again....¡¡¡

Plus, is very rare that these first 5 songs, plus the Russian one in the Semi1 get the lowers by the jury, and especially the songs of Poland and Norway were good.

There were technical problems and they could be one of the reasons of non-qualifying but I don't think any jury member tried to fail a country just because they're "against" them. We didn't deserve to be in the final. That's it.

by the way, I realized that we wouldn't have been in the final even if there had been only televoting. 'cause top 9 of televoting used to make it to the final and the last one was chosen by juries.
so it would be Lithuania again.
