This was the biggest shock in last few years.
But i'm not surprised (too much, just a little). I think that Georgia pick up many of Turkish votes.

Performance was OK, not perfect but OK, but song was just OK. If you want to do something with this kind of songs, you must be perfect!

So... does anyone else think they didn't make it because Germany & Austria weren't allowed to vote yesterday?

I saw the song getting 12 from Azerbaijan but precious little from any other country.

I prefer this one to manga, but Turkey deserved to stay in the semi for all the times they qualified and they didn't deserve it (2007)

Didn't we deserve to make some great results after terrible discriminations against us during 20th century ?

NO!
You deserve to get the results from your songs deserve.
Now for this diaspora fiasco, Turkey will pay a really big price in ESC.

We had always been to the bottom in old times when we deserved good results. Turkey had been the loser of ESC, maybe it was our revenge ! Europe caused it.

I was expected at the last announcement to hear "Turkey will be in the final"....when I didn't hear it,I was in shcok...I didn't expect that there will be such a fair result, cause really this song wasn't bad,but it wasn't also good...just I was sure it will qualify...This doesn't mean that everytime that Turkey qualified, had a bad song...turkish songs has something good,I don't think that so many people vote even if they do not like the song!
Anyway better luck next year, bring u Atena's again!!!!

And now this "revenge" will be taken (like we say) "from the nose". Prepare to see Turkey not in the final for a long time. Who do you think you are? Some gods? You are just another contestant like the others.

Wuuut? Altuğ calm down it's just a contest. A few finalists surprised me but I hope other countries would take lessons from failure of Armenia & Turkey. If you send good songs you get good results, if you send crap you fail. That's simple xcheers

No, I`m not. Before Turkey could sent a horse like Hadise and they scored 3rd
In fact, from their entries last decade only maNga & Sertab Erener worthed more then waisted toilet paper

Really? I think our best entry was For Real in 2000's. Maybe ever? It's my favourite. And I hate maNga "the teenage dream", Linkin Park wannabe band

I agree with the first statement
I haven`t heared your song from 2004 , it`s not that bad actually, but if this song came from (let`s say) Liechtenstein, it wont score so high I think. And I am against that.

Shame you didn't qualify as it was my favourite in this semi but i have to say that the performance came across as quite underwhelming on the TV screen :L

It's still better than The Hadise though, why did you ever send her? ;_;

Love all the casual xenophobia coming out here as well. You're pretty pathetic if you take this line.

Performance was average and got 'out rocked' by Georgia. Better luck next year. Haterz move on.

I gave this song as an avarage of 7.50 points ... The song is good but the singer made a plain interpretation...so the message Live it up wasn't the same thing like the singer wanted to sing for me it seemed like the singer tried to slow down the song. This song does not desearved to qualify (in my opinion) ... I don't like to compare 2 or more song because evrery song have it's beautiful elements. But in this competition of good song we must compare the song betwen them because there are 19 songs and only 10 qualifiers (we cannot qualify all the countrises) the same rule in the final only one winner. So chosing beteen Georgia and Turkey was an easy decision, 7.50 for Turkey as an avarage and 8.08 for Georgia) But I will say my opinion about Georgia in their Thread.
