For me definetly 2001 and 2002. I don't know which one is worse from these two  Both were utterly horrible on every possible level starting from the songs, venues to the hosts themselves.

I have to agree with you on 2002, those hosts were pretty cheesy, the stage was alright but underwhelming. The only thing I like about 2002 was Ira Losco xheart.

You might be right, but be careful when you compare 2002 to nowadays. Everything changed and it is getting better and better.

+1. Exactly the same for me  I also liked the Croatian entry and the Finnish one. Greece was interesting, and that's all. Hopefully we never get a chance to have such bad editions like those two.

Oh yeah that's definitely true. For me 2003 is the turning point of ESC, I feel like the stage, hosts and songs have become a bit more modern and a bit less kitch that year.

I hope not, if Estonia wins again, which I'm sure they will, I think they've learned their lesson

Imo, 2001 was by far the worst. Ugly stage, unbearable presenters and, above all, a terrible bunch of songs. There were only 2-3 entries that were at the very least ok. Oh, and quite possibly one of the worst ESC winners as well.

Also, sometimes I get confused when I think of 2007 and 2008, it seemed like Serbia was trying its hardest to mimic everything Finland did. Stages were very similar at least. Finland did it better.

^^ I agree that 2007 and 2008 stages were too similar. That is what I didn't like either.

Our stage was supposed to be something different, and it does have a symbolic on two rivers Belgrade lays on (Sava and Danube rivers), but in the end it turned out like a copy of 2007 stage (which, as far as I remember, was taken from some Finish novel and represented a fish).

I liked both of these stages on their own way though.

Hard to pick. Either 2001 or 2007.

2001 was only dark and bad. Weak winner, slow songs, uninspired lame stage and bad presenters. Really awful contest. And the Swedish song was a ripoff (Bert Karlsson payed 100 000 sek to avoid lawsuits).

2007 was upsetting and almost made UK, Germany and France to drop of from the competition alltogether (stated that "The balkans are just voting on each other"). As a result of the crisis: Jury groups were incorperated in the votings. The winner was weak. A "trolololol song" came 2nd, the overall atmosphere was too dark and there were too many rockbands, clearly inspired by the later years chocker: Lordi. People went rampage on the forums and some argued that the competition must be split in two: One for Eastern Europe/Balkans and one for Western Europe. The Ukrainian entry almost destroyed the whole competition, and thankfully, the Jurygroups prevented further disasters. "We are the winners of eurovision!" Nope. Not this time!

About 2000-2002 I can't judge because I wasn't interested in ESC, I rather spent my time with playing with toy cars
My memories about 2003 are very weak.
However, I didn't like ESC 2005 and 2007. Bad winner songs, bad voting, bad songs in general. I wasn't impressed by the atmosphere as well.
The winner song of 2008 was disappointing too, but at least some other songs had a good level regarding entertainment, especially This is my life and El Chiki chiki
