LIKELY TO BE THE NEXT WINNER: (only 8 because i have a salty remark about everyone else rofl)
have everything but need to, well, actually be in the contest lol:

the jury wants them to win but they refuse to pick a fucking good entry the televote might care about:
have shown exemplary entry selection sometimes this decade, they just need more determination:
have huge potential every year but the NF format is a big obstacle:
nice NF with good entries but not quite there to win it all unless a salvador-esque miracle happens:
they just hit gold, can they keep it:
might randomly win with no effort because they pick entries out of a hat:

I don't even know where to start with predicting the next 10 winners! Among the countries I definitely want to win are Malta,Cyprus,Iceland,Poland and North Macedonia but above all I hope new countries just start winning again and countries like Spain that have waited the longest to win again.

I really hope either the UK or Ireland can finally win in the next say 10-15 years. If Sweden is going to beat Ireland's record I want Ireland to at least win again before that.

I don't know which country exactly, but the next decade will see a scenario in which a country that comes third one year will come first the following year, and I think it's likely to happen around 2024.
This has happened ten times over the contest:
*France: third in 1959, first in 1960
*Italy: third in 1963, first in 1964
*France again: third in 1968, first in 1969 (well, joint first, but if it counts as a win then it counts)
*Netherlands: third in 1974, first in 1975

Consistently sending competitive entries, circling the drain on a win and only a matter of time before they get there (in most of these cases could be this year) and controversial addition but
Somewhere between the above and the below
Need an extra oomph that I firmly believe them capable of demonstrating
Have the televote goods and/or plot armor but the juries will never let them win in a million years
Suddenly successful despite not meaningfully changing their approach, we'll see if they can keep it up
They’ve got some multiyear spark going, could easily rise into the top few categories soon
Need to figure out something before they can think about winning (in order: a second genre, packaging, how to make me personally ESCUnited User Lavieenrose dislike their entry, and having an exciting song I can pick out of a lineup)
Squandered recent striking of gold by taking the wrong approach, just need to hope it happens again
Have everything it takes except money and/or political will
Have nothing it takes and also no money and/or no political will
Who knows what they’d actually deliver if they join but they’ve got ESCUnited threads so we’ll see what happens
