Some flights to Lisbon from Manchester come to a total of more than £1,000 :eek: And now there is only one airline now that Monarch has gone bust. I don't think I will be going lol, can go for a week's Christmas shopping in New York for the same price :lol:

As for the logo which I never commented on at the time - it defo gets the thumbs up from me :) Reminds me of Athens too, and that was the Eurovision that got me proper hooked on the Contest :D Hopefully Lisbon gets its inspiration from that year!

Have you been searching in low cost companies? There's a lot of flights from Manchester to Lisbon for about 200€ (with return).

I had been looking at just Friday to Sunday and the flights I had wanted were £502 each (TAP)! Monarch's were even more although they're out of the question now anyway lol. I hadn't realised that Ryanair had started selling there tickets though so hey maybe will still happen... although relying on Ryanair, who knows where you might end up :lol:

I did see British Airways weekend to Lisbon that was very reasonably priced that included hotel too but it seemed a long way from the city centre, it might be more geared towards beach than city tourists.
