I'm confident the stage itself will be better with that big 60 meter wide and 18 meter high LED wall (can't wait to see it). I'm slightly concerned about how such a big whole with 35 000 people will come across on TV as I remember in 2001 it had more of a sporting even feel to it.
2009 was a stadium as well and it looked awesome.
Telenor (even though it was smaller if I'm not mistaken) looked gr8 too.
As long as it doesn't have those huge empty rows for walking between the sectors it's ok with me =)

ps. Wondering about what kind of "LED" is that. Russian or Norwegian? Or another one )))

^From what I've read, the type of LED will be more like the Russian concept, rather than the Norwegian.

I hated both 2001 and 2002 stages with a passion

I don't really remember the 2002 stage, but I remember I always thought 2001 was the worst of this millennium, it was just cheap. I mean they had no scenography, it was just a stage like some random amateur singing contest, extremely boring.

My favorites from past decades were Moscow and Belgrade. Oslo was also a little cheap.

I mean I want something extravaganza, it's just one time a year so don't make it look like some random music concert!!

^^ I liked 2006 the most. Even though many people dislike it, I liked the conception of it, and it looked great imo.

^ I didn't like 2006 because it was so split up. Hard to explain but it looked kinda bad because you could see the lines...

You can see the marks on the floor. Of course it wasn't like that during the semis and the final but it didn't look so good. I didn't like the fact that it was cut into pieces so a part of it could be higher than the other. And I'd like the back parts not having so much void between them. It looked ugly.
At least it wasn't the worst stage ever!

body in Bulgaria, heart in Greece (^_^)
I loveed the 2006, 2007 and 2008 stages. The 2007 was classy and good I think. The 2006 was totlly greek if you ask me. It had the feeling that ESC was in Greece. And the whole "theatre" thing was totally in place. The stage and the hosting country were in pure harmony IMHO.
And the stage in Serbia for me was the most balanced stage on LED material.
The 2005 stage was very messy and I still can`t get it`s concept.
The 2010 stage was too simple for me.
The 2009 stage was too big and the performers looked like ants

For me the perfect stages were in Serbia, Finland and Greece.

^ I agree about the perfect stages but not for Greece... I get your point about it but it wasn't the perfect for me. With a few changes maybe yes.
