Definetly much better than 2009 and 2010 for me. One of the best stages actually in the last 10 years for me. Can't wait to see how it will look like on TV.

Why do everyone try to compare the both stages 2009 and 2011? Each stage has its own style. And as I often mentioned before, it doesn't matter how big a stage is. The creator of the german stage was right when he told that in a hugh arena like the Esprit Arena it is better to have a smaller stage so that the artists will be better perceived. On a big stage like the 2009 one the singers has looked like small ants :-) And apart from this, it is always a matter of taste! ;-) Don't forget: the singers are the stars, not the stage! :-)

@ Grinch: the Esprit Arena holds 54.0000 spectators. But during the song contest there will be place for only 35.000.

And to the question from another user: no one will be sit directly behind the stage. Just in front of the stage and to the left and right from the stage. Between the stage and the scenery (the big LED wall) there is a "catwalk" which leads to the backstage area and the Green Room. So, it is not possible to sit behind the stage :-)

The videos are too bright and distracting, IMO. I liked the stages that gave more emphasis on the performers, now it's like Russia all over again with the huge video screen taking over all the space.
