I'm not sad at all that we didn't qualify. I'm still so proud of our last years result, I can probably hold on to that feeling for some years. =)

Me neither. I wasn't interested if our song would qualify or not. I just didn't bother to care anymore after it was released and I heard it. It all felt like a non-event, this semi.

I still cherish the last 2 years.

Has she said anything yet?

Also, how would this affect next year? If shes a big star in the Netherlands, and she failed to qualify, then sure this will make other big names reluctant to take part now.
I've not seen her on TV yet.

The song choice was just not good enough and the staging was very disappointing. I don't think respectable Dutch artists will be influenced by it, I'm pretty sure they can see why this did not qualify.
I hope Dotan will take part next year, but we'll see!

OK. I was just unsure about how it may affect things next year. It's like the German NF last year, it had quite a few big names, but all failed. So this year there wasn't any big names. Wasn't sure if it would have a similar result to this.

The voting was an absolute mess this year. I can tell you that the :am::rs: diaspora in Australia is what probably carried those countries through. Not enough people are going to wake up at 5 AM to watch Trijnte in slot 4...

Trijntje is 4th best on iTunes of those who performed in the semi

She did her part best she could. Clearly the problem was the terrible "pantsuit" and even worse stage show xfacepalm

If they didn't sabotage themselves like that I'm positive Netherlands would be in the final on Saturday

I think the start was very weird, a long blurred close up. And than a long shot of her behind

One of the better vocal performances, but the song was too repetitive and annoying.

No, the problem was the song, plain and simple. It was just the same thing over and over again, which wasn't catchy in the first place, and i don't think this "soft-folk-rock" genre belongs in the ESC at all. Their success in the last 2 years was a fluke, i think those who selected this tune for her just don't "get" the ESC, with so many failures they need to see over their entire selection process.

She chose the song herself and it's written by Anouk & Swedish songwriter

What did she keep on looking at? Like glancing over the cameraman? Girl, you better work on your performance.

1. I don't like the song
2. The staging was terrible
3. Trijntje looked almost uncomfortable on stage

This song doesn't have a lot of redeeming qualities in my book. I never thought this has even the slightest chance of qualifying but I thought they'd do a better job with the staging. Hopefully the Netherlands is going to realize that sending a big name may not be enough, you need a good song and they certainly failed to do send that in 2015.

Well, I don't like this song, but she should have qualified, because her vocals were flawless. Stupid Hungary qualified...
