The Netherlands have achieved what Belgium did in 2010: wake up from the perpetual nightmare of never qualifying for the final. I sure hope this'll mean a whole new mindset for the Dutch broadcaster and we'll get to see our norther neighbours more often in the final.

I want Waylon, the way he performed in "Holland's got talent" With the fancy dance and fancy shoes, his beautiful blue eyes.
And I want him to sing a catchy Dutch song.

Waylon - Loveman ( Otis Redding ) nolimit - YouTube

WAYLON - IT`S A MAN`S WORLD ( James Brown ) ( NOLIMT )- YouTube
Holland's Got Talent - Waylon (Finale Ronde) - YouTube

And if they choose him, I hope Europe will not hold it against him whether he did or did not have sex with the 90 year old female jury member.
He is the Dutch Otis in my eyes and his eyes, his eyes, HIS EYES are to drawn in ... :-)

I didn't know Tatjana could sing. She is famous as a TV personality in the Netherlands. She also appears in these annoying "Basic Fit" commercials:

The slogan means something like: Come on!
I only don't know how to translate nou.

I agree with ESCFan on Caro Emerald. She is one of my favourite singers. VanVelzen is also an amazing singer:

Ok, than it is Caro Emerald. It is very original for ESC-standards. She is very good live and is a lovely person!

I read an interview with her in a newspaper, and she said she isn't interested in ESC :(

I don't know if she's that famous in NL, but I think that Maaike would be a great choice for esc with the right song :)

Jan Smit. He is very engaged in ESC at the moment so I just hope he will give it a go.

I read about a lot of "artists" I never heard of and some musical nono's, sorry I hate musicals. Except for "I need to go to the toilet the musical" (who who whoooo, look out for number two). :geek:

I know Germans love campy Jan Smit, I'm sure it wil give us 12 points from televotes. But there is something called pride. I rather get zero points from you with a classy song that all the other jury's except Germany rated, than humpapa fu**ing eal Jan Smit. xshock1xshock1xshock1xshock1

^ Well, there are other acts I'd put in the camp category, incl. some that represented the Dutch broadcaster in recent years. As for "our" jury, they'd probably dismiss him too but he'd get good marks from the public in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Austria indeed. His music carries people's attitude to life and has a very natural (the opposite of 'camp') feel to it. Clearly nothing that should go against anyone's pride.

But there are two things that annoy me so much:
1. Germany, our neighbours that never gave us much points, this year when we had a great song and performance, rated us the less from all the jury's of Europe as revealed right now.
2. Here you cant turn on your tv on Tros without being bothered with "artists" from incest city Volendam: Jan Smit, or the talentless sister of Jan Smit, or the other sister of Jan Smit that tries to dance on skates, or the nephews of Jan Smit, the fu##king 3-jays, or the mum of Jan Smit that brags about how the ex of Jan Smit stole guest towels of Jan Smit and plastic flowers of Jan Smit and than there are friends of Jan Smit who think they are Simon and Garfunkel, god forbid they will ever represent us.
Than all the good that has be done by Anouk, will vanish in a finger click. I hate Volendam and I hate fish. What I learned from this is omega 3 is bad for you, very bad.
