I almost suspected Italy wasn't willing to host, but now it seems they've already decided on it!

Unfortunately I live in Sicily, so I will need to take a plane and book accomodation in literally any city with a realistic chance of hosting. At this point I hope it will be Turin since it's the only place where mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyybe I could avoid paying for accomodation with the help of a friend who lives there.

Imagine not hosting the way and everything working a 100% accurately and smoothly (Actually I could see it happen because they have experience with Sanremo - though the typical charming chaos is also something we love and kinda expect haha)

Are there enough hotel rooms for Bologna to be chosen as host city? I'm looking at hotels now and they are so few

Right Bologna have so few hotel and they are expensive.

You have to wait for this, the esc 2022 will be very chaotic, it will not be perfect as in the Nordic countries, but this does not mean that it will not be beautiful, the Italians also have a lot of fantasy and creativity. Yes it will not be a eurovision as we know it but it will not be a cold or robotic esc. I also believe that due to the fact that the esc will be held in such a great historical and beloved country, all other countries will try to send beautiful songs. yes I think the quality of the songs will be very high

You have a very stereotyped idea of Italy. this is the country that has organized expo, olympics and jubilees with millions of people without any problem. Italian companies work all over the world to elaborate the opening ceremonies of the Olympics and major events (many do not know it) and the most elaborate and grandiose national final in Europe, the Sanremo festival, is held, with beautiful scenery and a great orchestra. Sanremo is a unique complex machine in the world, 5 live evenings for 5 days!
it is also the second contributor to EBU and Rai and the second largest public service in Europe

luckily Italy is very popular 300 points of European televoting, while the UK, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands 0 zero points from European televoting, I still laugh thinking about the face that the Belgian singer made when the European televoting gave her 3 points

I think Turin is the biggest candidate since the talks about Turin 20xx has been there since 2017, but Milan would be an interesting choice as well.

Only Milan, Turin, Rome and Bologna respect all the requirements, but the arena in Milan could be a problem because the roof is not high enough. I still think Turin would be the best choice.

I'm all in for affirmation of unfairly discredited and overlooked South of Italy - therefore anything Rome southwards would be incredible. Don't ever guys forget Maneskin originate from Rome after all

Why should Italy build a temporary arena when there are already some venues that respect the criteria? That's just wasting money.

Of all the cities circulating around my favourites would be Turin and Bologna, maybe also Milan.

Rome on the other side wouldn´t be my choice. The arena looks kinda washed-out for me and the city is already pretty overrun by tourists. I also think Eurovision would be just one event among many there and not stand out enough. For the similar reasons I was kinda happy that Amsterdam didn´t host this year.

So for me it´s clear: Forza Torino, Bologna e Milano!!

I have no idea if these cities have a fitting venue but all of the 8 most populated italien cities of Rome, Milan, Torino, Napoli, Florence, Genova, Palermo or Bologna sound like having enough flair to me...

And I actually like the idea of renting a camper and drive down there for the week, no matter where it will be

I would love the contest to be in Verona, they could have it at the Veronafiere.

It has 309,000 square metre space, of which 155,000 of such is covered and is divided across 14 halls.

Possibly have the press centre, euroclub all on one site.
