Yeah, keep it in the North of Italy please. Milan, Bologna, and I'll book a road trip. Pesaro who?

Pesaro have the most big stadium in Italy in therm of capacity of people in, and this city is preatty in the sea.
Should be the host city for San Marino, which is very close. Just googled it.

I could find the following suitable arenas with a capacity of more than 10,000, but this is not an exhaustive list of possible venues.

Torino: Pala Alpitour 13000-16000
Milano: Mediolanum Forum 12500
Roma: PalaLottomatica 11000
Bologna: Unipol Arena 11000-20000
Pesaro: Adriatic Arena 10300 plus
Genoa: Palasport di Genoa 15000

I could not find info on a suitable venue for Napoli, so any of our Italian amici are welcome to add more info.

In my opinion, Torino or Milano are potentially successful candidates, but don't rule out Rome.

I would love for Milan to host because it's my city and I wouldn't need to travel  but I doubt that the Armani basketball team will give up their arena for two months. Turin would be a great hosting city though

If Rome gets chosen, the whole Eur could be dedicated to the event.

The venues in Milano, Torino, and Bologna seem reasonable and I love those cities though I'd also love the contest to take place in Rome for bringing together both North and South Italy!

Anyway next year's Eurovision might be the first one that I'll be visiting live.

I would prefer a city in Northern Italy, since this would continue the "trend" of moving northwards. First in 1965 in Naples, then in 1991 in Rome, so it´s now North Italys turn. ;)

Are there enough hotel rooms for Bologna to be chosen as host city? I'm looking at hotels now and they are so few

the genoa sports hall would have been a beautiful location by the sea, but it is currently undergoing renovation including the area around the arena, a project by Renzo Piano.

There is no shortage of large covered spaces in Italy, there are other arenas in the various cities and many exhibition halls (the RHO fair in Milan is the largest in Europe).
