In general the jury votes for genres and perhaps voices I think but there is a lot of bribing, arranged and tactical voting among most delegations that differs each year and thus we cannot predict. That for instance is why the EBU hides the names of the jurors and the voting results by country.
Russia obviously was used to be this time's victim and Italy ("surprisingly") the winner.

C'mon this just its about SONG CONTEST not Actitude... and Eric wasn't energic at all, just he was gave an Great Act than an good performance who we see many times in the Euro just like did Alex and how the Jury include him on the TOP 10 and Alex in the last place..?? Some countries were undeservedly thrown by the jury to the bottom places, the other countries were undeservedly taken up.

Blue was ending here just becuz, Blue just was gave an aweak performance and they had the Lucky to get many points from the Televoting just cause its fame, otherwise would have finished worse.

Alex did the opposite to Blue (O.K we know that the actitude wasn't the best, but neighter worse) and still making him an injustice ovoius... WTF is this...???

If it's a SONG CONTEST then, why did Blue's performance matter? Surely people should have voted on 'I Can' then? ;)
Blue had a great performance on the night; that's why we got the biggest cheer in the hall after Lena and came 5th on the Televoting. The Jury performance wasnt great but we didnt deserve 23rd but anyway, you gotta live with it. We came 11th behind some undeserving songs thanks to the Juries so it's silly to suggest they have some sort of bias. What would help however is if they voted on the same performance as the rest of us!

Because imo half of the final result shouldn't be based on a 'rehearsal' performance. A rehearsal is supposed to be exactly that - preparing for the real performance. I've been part of music competitions in the past and never are you judged on the rehearsal performance, and it's like that in every other contest/competition.
Aside from that I don't get how the Grand Final's results are partly based on another show. If they are going to judge performances then they should judge the final performance.

Since it is a song contest, performances should not be a matter anyway. Still I think it is not good points are in before the actual show starts. But that is more a formal aspect. It might lower my excitement if I paid attention to jury results (what I do not) though.

And why should someone vote like "the rest of you"?

If you're trying to suggest that we want juries to give the same votes as televoters, then you're off the mark. I expect the two to give out different points. However, if the juries are going to base their votes partly on vocal performance, it should at least be the same one we all hear. I still haven't heard any jury final performances. My opinion on the jury results can therefore only be based on rumour and guesswork.

For less-informed fans it's confusing. "Country X sang perfectly and looked great on stage. How did the juries not see that?" The answer is that they didn't. They saw them hit bum notes and trip over their dance moves. However, we can't know that for certain; it's all kept secret.

I don't think Russia and Sweden were so similar. Alex tried to be some sort of Sakis, while Eric took the role of a Britney boy or a boy band style, but singing alone. The song was more POPULAR  and more appealing for the first time
I don't think juries are here to kill Russia, because they were not killed in previous years when they were soooooo overrated, neither Armenia cause that song deserved even a worse punishment or Turkey (there wasn't a big difference between juries and televoting on this one, they just were caught by some songs that were favoured by televoting or juries while they were average in both).
Ukraine did much better with juries last year, so no.

Excuse, but Alex try imiting Sakis ??....xrollinglol

Who recient song of Russia was overated..??? i don't find any here.. O.k I can Agree that Armenia deserved punishment, but not an exclusion, but Turkey deserved if was by the horrible direct who Yüksek in the semi, o.k i can agree. I'm sorry but for me, that Russia was underestimated and took undeserved place.

No mencions that in the Semi 1, almost faild to Malta can enter to the final instead ... No wayy

They vote more by the Hype than by the Song like the ppl did in France...

Well they did an great perfomance in the final but isn't the same as given in the final rehearsal prior the big finale, and that its the diference :p just i can live with the 16th place but the last place by the jury for him its just not fair with all the evidences, but i agree with you, the jury must evaluate them in the live perfomance in the same conditions to be fair the thing. :D

Aleks wasn't say that, he says that why should vote in the same way than us (Mean, puting his own East Song in the fair place even if good or bad) or sunking the east song as well...

ESC stopped being about songs when it's been broadcasted on the TV for the 1st time. If you live in the 18th century without a TV and listen to it on the radio - happy about you but I'm not deaf and I'm not blind so don't tell me what should and shouldn't matter ;)

The only one who's of the mark here is you :D

I assume less informed fans are supposed to know that people have different tastes.
Only the juries know why exactly they voted for all entries, not some ESC fans in despair.

Gr8 performer can perform his/her/their entry well on the jury's night AND on the final night.
If it didn't happen - it's not my problem and certainly not the problem of EBU

If your performer sucked on the jury's night you've got what he/she/they deserved.

I didn't say that Alex was imitating Sakis, but his song looked much more Sakis' style than Eric's ;)

Every single Russian song was overrated, especially 2009 and 2010 ;)
Armenia was excluded cause the televoting result wasn't so high either... And BTW semi 1 was very bad ;)

How could happen in Armenia & Turkey should QF, Azerbajian had not won and have won Italy for the Glory of manny, but also the World War 3 was exploted cause the Westen Europeans would don't have endured another year with those countries that go take what they take intro the final.

I'm not trying to claim it's unfair on the performers. I just think it adds an unnecessary element of secrecy. I would like to be able to express an opinion on the juries that isn't based on hearsay.

I guess I just haven't yet fully got over the shock of finding out the juries vote on a completely different show that I never get to see. I watched for many years when the voting was 100% jury. Back then I had no idea that the show I was watching had absolutely no bearing on the result.

And why is this SO important? If it was 100% jury then why not simply enjoy the show... you have no say in any case.
It's like heptathlon in Olympics... your results is being added after every round. Tonight you're performing in front of the juries, tomorrow you're performing in front of 120 mil. people

It IS confusing for the audience (for those who value results a lot) but it helps to value performance more properly. Everyone's in equal conditions (you can screw up OR somebody else can screw up) so it would be better to perform excellent both times. + having a serious rehearsal helps to prepare better for the final performance in front of televoters.

;) It's like having 2 exams. 1 technical - in front of juries/professionals/labels, and another one practical - in front of YOUR audience, someone who's going to pay you.
