Some of you guys are pretty harsh towards the Icelandic entry :p But whatever, to each his/her own. I just don't understand why someone would WANT five nice guys with charming smiles, who are there in their friend's honor, to fail so miserably :) Personally I'd like the Danish song to win, it's my favorite.

I can only explain it with, that the hate comes from a pure fear. You know, this good-feeling-song might be what televoters and jury rather want to hear and see. xromance

I do dissagree with your personal wish for DK to win, coz I want Iceland to be the winner... but your fav can be 2nd ;)xcheer

and the vocals weren't diabolical

They were absolutely atricous, and had to be carried by the backing vocalists. It was all-round brutal performance.

I absolutely agree.

From watching them on X Factor everyweek it was a major upgrade all round in vocal and performance, imo of course. I was expecting absolute car crash but it wasn't anywhere near as bad for me. I'd take Ireland's entry over Lithuania/Moldova/Iceland/Ukraine anyday that's for sure.

My predictions:

1-5: UK, AZERBAIJAN, ESTONIA, FRANCE, HUNGARY
6-10: SLOVENIA, ROMANIA, ITALY, UKRAINE, RUSSIA
11-15: B&H, FINLAND, GERMANY, IRELAND, ICELAND
16-20: SWITZERLAND, SWEDEN, GREECE, AUSTRIA, GEORGIA
21-25: SPAIN, DENMARK, MOLDOVA, SERBIA, LITHUANIA

Again, I wouldn't be surprised if those predictions come upside down!

I would normally say Jedward can't sing but if anything Jedward were carrying the backing vocalists who were absolutely atrocious xD

Were you watching the same programme I was?

In addition (on that point) I just want to vent publicly how embarrassing the BBC3 Semifinal coverage was. I don't think it takes too much effort to pronounce song names and people correctly, and the cringeworthy and unfunny (even tasteless) links by Sara Cox really brought the show down for me.

I listened to their commentary on the Tuesday night show and they were mispronouncing every name, as if everything was supposed to be pronounced in an English accent. I didn't watch it on BBC last night but I heard that Sara Cox called one entry "gay". Has the PC era taught her nothing lol?!?

By the way, Estonian jury in the semi-final was:
Els Himma (former singer)
Ivar Must (composer of "Everybody")
Robin Juhkental (aka Malcolm Lincoln)
Merlyn Uusküla (singer)

I assume it's the same for the final.

I found Sara Cox really funny but I think I'm probably her target audience lol I found her very random which I loved! Was a bit different which I appreciated and she obviously entertained the acts with her interviews! I know she's a traditional eurovision fans nightmare so I doubt she'll be invited back although bringing her and scott mills into the mix has definitely made eurovision a bigger talking point for my age group! Was a positive thing for me!

It depends what you mean by 'age group' I guess. I'm 22, not exactly old (yet...)

I think it will be either Bosnia and Herzegovina, France or Azerbajdjan that wins. My personal mfavourite is Finland, he has grown on me so much, and along with Germany, he'll be amongst the top 5.
Hope to fail MISERABLY: Sweden, Estonia and Hungary.

I'll be the most happy in the world if France or Ukraine (just because I Love this song sincerely) or Estonia wins but the most unhappy if Ireland  or UK:? or Russia wins instead
