1. There is a "Group" round, followed by Quaterfinals, Semifinals and the Big Final
In this first round there will be around 50 groups...
2. All songs which have been entered to Eurovision song contest take part in this game, if that is what you ask. The groups are put together by a random draw and each song is in only one group.
3. I don't know about this, Matt or Smiley will answer that for you

Well considering there are over 1000 songs it's logical that the number of groups will be huge... Plus the name of the contest is the BIG Tournament after all xD

Maybe we should skip the low-placed songs of 1950s and 1960s and those that always got early eliminated in previous tournaments. Even if I may like them it is obvious they stand no chance of winning or even reaching the finals in the end.

Just checked the results of group 2. I got 6/10, all my top 5 qualified.
Sad for 2009 (much better than the 2008 one which qualified) and 1980 And 2013 qualified? :? :? :?

The whole point is to give ALL ESC entries that ever was a fair chance, and it states clearly in the rules that although we all have different preferences, we should give all songs an equal shot and not vote with a bias against certain decades... sure, there will be some decades we prefer over others, but the mindset "I don't want a song from like 1960 to win" I would argue disqualify one from entering this game.

That's the point with this game! I mean I'm also leaning towards the more modern entries, which obviously isn't so strange since I'm from that generation, but I still think one should give them all a fair chance and have an open mind. Atleast listen to all is a must, and the great thing with this game is that you get to know this great contest better and find new favorites along the way.

- I just found an entry for my all time top 5 in 1990's, that's Sweden 1996
(I knew that song of course, but I didn't realized before how beautiful it was). - I voted for all 3 Swedish entries of this group, they are in my top 5 Swedish entries ever along with 1974 and 2012
- B&H 2012 wasn't in my pre-contest top 10 but now it's in my top 10 of that year, it really grew on me.
- I think the entry of Turkey 1990 has been covered in Greek? Because that melody sounds very familiar to me. Unless I remember it from my childhood, my mom has Eurovision live shows in tapes and was watching them many times. That's why many songs that I think I haven't heard before sound very familiar to me!
- I find Greece 1977 annoying. I'm sad that some other nice entries of Greece didn't do that well and that one reached the 5th place. I mean, it's not bad, it's just silly

Same goes with me, after 3 rounds I obviously have seen some of my favourites from the "modern era" but also some older favourites and have discovered some amazing songs from each decade!
This is my first "Big Tournament" and I am new to this site, actually I saw a tweet about this tournament and decided to join to expand my song knowledge as I listen to all the songs I haven't heard as well as the ones I have and after hearing some songs that I already had heard my opinion on those songs has changed as is the case in R3
