It just does nothing for me. There are other songs I dislike, such as Israel 2005 or Norway 1995 (not a song), where it's more because I'm not a fan of that sort of song/instrumental with the odd lyric tacked on. I can understand those getting through, based on others liking that sort of stuff. With Sweden 96 I just don't see it. It sounds a bit like a Christmas song too, which strikes me as odd for a springtime contest.

Some WTF songs (IMO of course)

Overall I'm satisifed though the 2000 and up songs that mad it through seem to be rather weak so I hope for a classic to win it all.

IMPORTANT:

When I revealed the 10 qualifying songs, remember how I said they were in no particular order? Well, I lied. If you want to know how all entries ranked, just go back and check who was announced first cause they were actually in 1st place that round, 2nd one is in 2nd place end so on. ;)

Yep, I never really cared for DIVA. Cheezy and her vocal skills were less than impressive. Croatia cheated in 1999 and should have been disqualified IMO plus I just don't like the song, I never got the Yohanna hype two years ago, it's average (I did like her 2011 NF song though) and I actually kinda liked Hungary 2011 but she just didn't sound that great live and it just didn't deserve making it all the way to the end over so many other songs who are no longer in the race :D. I don't think she'l be in the Finals next year benefiting from the fact that it's a new song.

I'd be totally ok with that. Such an amazing entry.

I'm super stoked Sweden 1996 made it through. Probably my all-time favorite Swedish entry apart from Sweden 1989 and Sweden 1988.

Sweden 1996 is actually my favorite Swedish entry ever, it's so beautiful and poetic (if you understand the lyrics, that is). And the simplicity of the performance is just perfect.

Very happy for Spain 1995 and Croatia 1998 as well :D

I seriously thought that you revealed the most obvious qualifiers at first to make the last spots more exiting (but then again, I'm not that bright).

So, Yohanna, Nicole and Marija are favorites then... ESC-fans have a pretty sleep-inducing taste in music, haven't we?

I've never understood how odds work. What does it mean to have 1.09 vs 120?

Oh my God! I always thought that! Hahaha In fact I have the song in my Xmas folder in my mp3 player! Hahahaha But I totally love it and I think it's one of the best ESC entries ever! :)
