5 points. My fave!
I hope, for the sake of good music and originality, that she'll win this year.

Re: THE 2012 'EXPERT' PANEL - SWEDEN

Loreen is probably nice and all, but 0 points. I don't like this entry at all. Her voice is drowning in terrible vocoders, I think Britney would win the lawsuit if she would accuse the songwriters for stealing the refrain of her song (Till the world ends). The uptempo house sound is something I hated already in the 90's. It's so noisy, overproduced, and exhausting to listen to, it just feels like total relief, even euphoria, when the song ends. There is nothing original about this song, even the stage performance reminds me of someone trying to be like the iconic Kate Bush. It's rather pathetic.

“2 points of 5 as you gave it is too low”.

“…Then you hype Italy and their boring singer. Strange, you compared Loreen to Kate Bush but nothing about Nina Zilli a la AMY WINEHOUSE... BTW Nina's Zillis live performances are so terrible weak... Sweden's entry is way more original than Italy's. Sorry but YOUR arguments are just AWFUL.”
“…May I ask you: Are you from Italy? I think youy put down the other faves just to put up Italy in the rankings.”

“BTW, you still haven't explain why you haven't compared Zilli to Winehouse when you compared Loreen to Kate Bush. Today it's worse to copy Winehouse than Bush since Winehouse were active as artist to her death.”

I’m glad that someone cares much more about Italy in ESC than Italians themselves…

You first opened a thread to convince people that your country deserves to be one of “Big 5” more than Italy (must be very important for you), now this noble, graceful assault to the guiltless Nina.
I don’t get why you’re so nervous since I think Loreen will win hands down, but whatever…

Maria Chiara ZILLI Fraschetta started singing rocksteady-soul music in 2001, after a reggae teenage, 5 years of Music Academy and 3 years in USA to improve her skills.
Amy’s first record was in 2003 and she didn’t get worldwide famous until 2007. How can Nina be a copy of someone who didn’t yet appeared?

Nina and Amy didn’t invent theyr music type n style. They both have roots in ‘50s ‘60s American black music.

Nina often says she’s grateful to Amy: she was an underground scene singer-songwriter and only after Winehouse’s success, her Rec Label invested to launch her precedent work and her songs were chosen for a worldwide famous videogame and a movie soundtrack.

Personally, I don’t see a lot of Amy’s RnB in Nina as well as I don’t see the Italian ’60-70s beat, Mina Mazzini’s charm n melodica in Amy.
Nina isn’t less authentic than Amy and imho almost all of her own songs are better than “Out of love” , but I guess it’s useless trying to convince someone who want to discredit her on purpose.

I guess Valentina Monetta and Soluna Samay had better be worried too given that Britney Spears would appear to own a trademark on the repetition of the words "oh" and "uh".

Re: THE 2012 'EXPERT' PANEL - SWEDEN

About yesterday:

When forum members are not part of the expert panel (most are not), they still have the right to criticize the expert panel. In my case (yesterday), it was not as much criticizing as it was more an attempt at painting a satirical picture of what I see is going on: almost everyone in the expert panel (7 out of 9 experts) is falling for an entry that I happen to think is overrated.

I just didn't expect that my 'satirical picture' would hit a nerve in one panelist. Instead of that, he could've said that he's proud to be a Loreen follower, one of the many.

 your opinion is truely hilarious! Thanks for making me laugh out loud! Yes, Loreen is Britney's clone, how didn't we all figure that out before!

That's actually a good idea, I thought. :)
That would be forum-entertainment for everybody - galore! :D
(Even drama-potential included; perfect!)

Are you sure? That's an interesting remark actually, but I don't agree her voice is drowning though. Terrible vocoders are just awesome, I love them! Do you think Loreen will use'm in Baku?
