Holy shit this RG draw for Iga is hell xD

Possible Krejci in R16 which is an opponent she has a hard time to beat

Coco Gauff in quarter-finals is hard even if Gauff doesn't have a good season

The other quarter-final between Elena and Ons (if both are healty and without injuries they should make it there) will be fire

Aryna has a pretty good draw

Okay so on this first day :

- First big surprise with Sakkari losing, but tbh she got very unlucky with her draw, the only reason Muchova is something like 45th are her injuries, she has the level of a top 10 player

- Sabalenka beated Kostyuk easily without having to give her best, I think she gave like 40/50%, shows she's in good form, that's good

- Hurkacz was really beatable and am really sad Goffin didn't manage to beat him :(

Okay so 2nd day :

WTA :

- Huge surprise with Kudermetova losing in R128 while she's a very good clay player, my guess is she gave just way too much in Madrid and Rome, bad gestion

- Svitolina beats Trevisan, not gonna lie I never felt any particular affect for her but making such a come-back after having a child, RESPECT

- Bencic and Kvitova eliminated but well, Bencic is never good in GS and Kvitova has big issues with clay

ATP :

- My fave male player Thiem losing in R128, that injury really destroyed him, it's been two years that he doesn't manage to come back at his best level and I start wondering if it's not already over for him ? And that's coming from someone who follows him since like 10 years :(

- Novak wins easily but his opponent was quite weak, Fucsovics will be a test

- Stan, Schwartzmann and Fognini the forgotten oldies making really good performances, especially Fognini who eliminated Auger-Aliassime

- Lehecka continues showing that his AO run was not a fluke by eliminating Struff here

I can't wait for tomorrow !

3rd day :

WTA :

- Took her a set to take her marks but Iga won pretty easily against Bucsa, nice tournament start

- Quite the same for Elena and Jabeur, this is quite a good news concerning the physical state of these three, they seem fit and not obstructed by their recent injuries

- Tsurenko eliminated Krejcikova, congrats to her that's quite a big result

- Kalinina got eliminated by Parry, I guess she couldn't rest enough from her Rome run

ATP :

- The shock of the tournament with Medvedev being eliminated by Seyboth Wild, congrats to him, am quite sad and disappointed for Daniil, looks like he really doesn't like Rolland-Garros

Curious to see how the 2nd round will go

Here we go, R64 1st day :

WTA :

- Aryna winning without really having to do much, she played pretty badly, bit like in Madrid she was average during all the tournament and then went into beast mode in semi and final

- Garcia lost against Blinkova, not surprising when you see her season, but the game was really great to watch

- Ostapenko got eliminated and am pleased about that

- Zheng got eliminated too, she really needs to be a bit more consistent

ATP :

- Novak had to battle hard during the first set but then it went pretty easily

- Huge fan between Stan and Kokkinakis, really sad for Stan but yeah man is 38 yo, hard to make two 5 sets games in a row

R64 2nd day :

WTA :

- Iga did exactly like with Bucsa, 1 bad set and then a bagel in 2nd set

- Elena won easily, Jabeur too

- Solid performance from Pera to eliminate Vekic

ATP :

- Altmaier eliminated Sinner, I knew he would be quite a test knowing he's a good clay player but I never expected him to win this

Tomorrow R32 starts and am gonna try some predictions, it's quite a hard RG to predict :

WTA :

Swiatek b Wang
Andreescu b Tsurenko
Schmiedlova b Day
Andreeva b Gauff (this kid will shock the world)
Rybakina b Sorribes Tormo
Alexandrova b Haddad Maia
Pera b Cocciaretto
Jabeur b Danilovic
Begu b Muchova (Seems like Muchova injuried herself against Podoroska)
Tauson b Avanesyan
Potapova b Pavlyuchenkova
Pegula b Mertens
Blinkova b Svitolina (this one is VERY TOUGH to predict)
Kasatkina b Stearns
Stephens b Putintseva
Sabalenka b Rakhimova

ATP :

Alcaraz b Shapovalov
Musetti b Norrie
Fognini b Ofner
Tsitsipas b Schwartzmann
Djokovic b Davidovich Fokina
Hurkacz b Varillas
Khachanov b Kokkinakis
Rublev b Sonego
Rune b Olivieri
Fritz b Cerundolo
Jarry b Giron
Ruud b Zhang
Altmaier b Dimitrov
Zverev b Tiafoe
Etcheverry b Coric
Nishioka b Seyboth Wild

R32 1st day

Now that was a very surprising day !

WTA :

- Mertens played an amazing game against Pegula, am really happy for her ! Pegula really has issues with clay and I guess her mother's sickness didn't help, wishing a speedy recovery to her

- Pavlyuchenkova's huge come-back, she managed to beat Potapova, I guess Potapova still lacks experience for Grand Slams, I thought she could be a dark horse

- Aryna and Kasatkina with very strong performances

- Svitolina beated Blinkova after a very hard game, the last set was really unpredictable, kudos to Svitolina but also to Blinkova who did a good tournament

- Looks like I was worried for nothing about Muchova, she played great

ATP :

- Rublev got eliminated :( congrats to Sonego who played really well but am quite sad

- Varillas eliminated Hurkacz after 5 sets for the 3rd time in 3 games in this Roland Garros for him, kudos to him !

- Novak played an awful game but still won

- Musetti is impressive, but we know that he might choke at every single moment so I'll stay calm about him xD

Tomorrow will be fire

Last R32 games :

WTA :

- Still devastated about Elena's withdrawal, hope she'll manage to defend her title in Wimbledon

- Iga had a perfect game, she can really go all the way through

- Jabeur had a hard time but managed to make it, good game from Danilovic, kudos to her

- Gauff eliminated Andreeva, felt like Andreeva doesn't have the stamina set from Grand Slams but man she really can play

- Solid performance from Tsurenko, Andreescu did well this tournament but yeah she's clearly not 100% back from her injury

ATP :

- Impressive Cerundolo managing to eliminated Taylor Fritz, strong performance

- Sacha had a hard opponent to beat, Tiafoe played decent but I felt like both of them should've done better today, really happy Sacha won

- Nishoka eliminated Seyboth Wild, such a strong mental performance from him

So we're entering the 2nd week, who look the best after this 1st week ?

WTA :

After Rybakina's withdrawal I really can't see anything else than a Swiatek/Sabalenka final happen, and I would be pleased about that, Jabeur can maybe make something happen but I don't really believe in that

Also Kasatkina looks quite strong, but the fact she has such a weak serve makes me think she would get destroyed by players like Swiatek and Sabalenka

ATP :

Alcaraz and Musetti look very strong, but I trust Alcaraz more 'cause we already shaw Musetti not having enough stamina or just choking in Grand Slams

Tsitsipas impressed me, Novak was not very good but he's still Novak and can obviously win

Am curious to see how it'll go for Khachanov, Ruud and Rune

Svitolina is making a great comeback.
They didn't shake hands, but they exchanged gestures xlove
Secretly hoping that Kasatkina will change a tennis federation.

ps. Lesbian legend supporting lesbian legend

(and no this is not Lazarev , this is an anti-putin blogger and former football player/commentator).

As for hypothetical women's final. I obviously cheer for Świątek. After Testosterenka commited uncalled attack against Kostiuk before the game, she will forever be ignored. And there we go, the obvious "secret" of which Belarusian top player supports Ukraine has been revealed.

:love::lol:

As for men, I'm cheering for Garfia and Nishioka.

R16 1st day :

WTA :

- Aryna's game was stressful but am so happy she managed to make it, she seemed really nervous but managed to win

- Mertens choking again... well congrats to Palyuchenkova, I hope Muchova beats her tho 'cause I don't like her play style that much

- Svitolina had a good game against Kasatkina, respect to her for making such a come-back ! I don't believe she'll beat Aryna tho excepts if Aryna really makes a lot of mistakes, she's just too powerful

ATP :

- Alcaraz, Novak and Tsitsipas were all quite impressive, nothing to say, perfect games from them

- Solid performance from Khachanov against Sonego, I quite fear him against Novak, he's always dangerous in Grand Slams

Ooops I forgot to post yesterday so I'll do both yesterday and today xD

Yesterday :

WTA :

- Am happy Iga won but sad how, I hope Tsurenko will get well soon, she really looked like she was gonna faint at any moment :(

- Powerful Jabeur, solid performance !

- Gauff played a decent game, congrats to her

- Thrilling game between Haddad Maia and Sorribes Tormo ! Happy that the Brazilian made it

ATP :

- Thriller between Rune and Cerundolo, honestly Cerundolo chokes big time (and Rune cheated but it's mostly the ref's error)

- Sacha is amazing 😍

- Casper and Etcheverry were quite solid

Today :

WTA :

- Am so happy Aryna made it to the semis ! Big respect to Svitolina for her come-back, she'll soon be back in the top 10 ! The actual ridiculous thing is I don't even feel like Aryna played at full power so far and she still is in semis, knowing what she can do she played at like 60% today

- So happy for Muchova, girl is so unlucky with injuries and deserves a spot in the semis !

ATP :

- Amazing game between Novak and Khachanov, soooo happy Novak made it but huge respect for Khacha, he was great !

- Alcaraz is too strong, gosh this kid is ridiculous, am really hyped about his game against Novak !

Today's quarter-finals :

WTA :

- Very solid Iga ! Coco tried but yeah wasn't enough, I really really wanna see a Iga/Aryna final 😍

- Haddad Maia is a warrior, what a tournament from her ! Jabeur sadly kinda choked :(

ATP :

- Zverev is back in the semis, gosh am so happy for him, his last year injury was so unfair, also congrats Etcheverry for his wonderful tournament !

- Ruud beated Rune the cheater, wonderful news ! Also kind of saving Casper's season

So well men's semis :

- Novak beats Alcaraz, physically Carlos didn't hold on, I talked about that a few weeks ago with a friend, he's always giving 100% in every single game and that's problematic, 'cause there are some games in which you don't have to do that much, and we said that someday he'll pay the price in a big game, happened today sadly :(

Very happy for Novak who's now one game close to get his 23rd GS 😍

- Perfect performance from Ruud, top class ! Zverev looked soooo tired tho, quite logic it's been a while since he didn't play such amount of games in a tournament, keep on fighting champion xheart

So well for the final I'll support Novak but I'll be happy for Ruud if he wins

Well she did mess up yesterday but I don't think you're a GS winner, N°2 in the world and N°1 in the Race if you can't handle the pressure well
She is definitely unpatient, she wants to win points early. It doesn't always work to play power. I guess it's the power that took her far and the rest of girls are not consistent enough.

Do it's gonna be Muchova vs Świątek. I hope that Krejcikova won't share her winning tactics :p

Yeah she tends to want to win the points early, even though this season she showed some patience and constance and also mental strength, that was a huge improvement, but yeah during that choke it felt like I was watching the old Sabalenka

Oh yeah Muchova is quite scary (if she's at 100% physically 'cause she looked sooo tired after her game againsy Aryna), I hope Iga will win this game, the season was quite hard and it would be wonderful to win this Roland-Garros
