Re: 2010 US Open (tennis)

US Open is over :(

Rafa wins it, I think he's not a human, he's a superman:D
Novak was great too and from now he's world No2. I hope he will repeat his plays in next tournaments;)

Re: Grand Slams 2011 (Tennis)

2011

Hola Guys! I refreshed the tennis thread name (it's for the season 2011 now, cause we're not in 2010 anymore, and no need for opening a new thread). So, there r 4 Grand Slams this year, as always: Australian Open, French Open (Roland Garros), Wimbledon (UK), US Open.
Here we can discuss everything related to tennis. Also feel free to discuss other tennis tournaments of ATP or WTA tour (not only Grand Slams) as they unfold.

----------------------

Today I'm little sad and very happy (sad 'cause Aussie Open is already over, happy 'cause Novak Djokovic:rs: won it). Bravo Nole and congratsxheart. Also congrats to super-mom Kim Clijsters:be: who won in girls competition.
Sorry for Andy Murrayxheart (one of my fav.players as well), too bad he had to play with Novak, but hopefully they both can become soon world's No1 and No2 (to replace Federer and Nadal:twisted::D)
And I heard during this AO that Justine Henin:be: definitely withdraws from tennis, but I hope she changes her mind, cause girls tennis loses a lot if Justinexheart goes!

:twisted::lol:

Novak rules :D He deserved this title. His matches against Federer and Murray on this tournament were one of his best matches ever! I hope he will continue with rising of his form, and that he will play even better in the future.

Re: Grand Slams 2011 (Tennis)

So, as we all know...Roland Garros (French Open), one of big4 tennis tournaments started this weekend. Me, being big tennis fan, will closely follow what happens there:)
Ofc, I support Novak Djokovic, but even if he fails...it's OK, he'll have strong World's No2 position as now. It would be amazing if final would be again Djokovic-Nadal, cause those matcher r most interesting for me...and totally nerve-racking, but I like that. Novak didn't lose a single match this year, so now he might be too tired to repeat Madrid and Rome where he beat Nadal, but we'll see how opening matches will go for both players. Funny is that nobody think any longer Roger Federer could win Roland Garros:/ , as a matter of fact..bigger chances r given to Andy Murray.
In women competition I think winner will be Caroline Wozniacki or Kim Clijster, but I wouldn't mind Jelena Jankovic wins it, either (though, there r really minimal chances)
We'll have 3 players in men's singles: Novak Djokovic, Viktor Troicki and Janko Tipsarevic
3 players in women's singles: Jelena Jankovic, Ana Ivanovic and Bojana Jovanovski
1 player in men's doubles: Nenad Zimonjic
Most of them will fail, but hopefully someone can reach quarter-finals and semi-finals:D
Good luck all other players too! xcheers

Re: 2011 Roland Garros (French Open)

Only two Croatians left in RG tournament: Ivan Ljubičić qualified into the 2nd round after he defeated Somdev Devvarman from India 6:4, 6:3, 6:4.
Antonio Veić also qualified yesterday. Pablo Cuevas from Uruguay gave up after 4:6, 6:3, 6:2. 3:1.

Ana Ivanovic already out. I wonder if she can get any worse, lol.
Bojana Jovanovski also out, but that's OK, difficult draw for her + too young too inexperienced.
Other 5 advanced.

lol, indeed. Ana seriously needs a psychologist. While there's still "some" hope...

Re: 2011 Roland Garros (French Open)

So sorry for Kim! And Jelena Jankovic also out...by last year RG champion Schiavone (I really don't like her, makes creepy sounds all the the time, annoying to watch it), but 4th round for JJ is really good, she'll advance at WTA list I guess:)
Ana Ivanovic shoots some sexy commercial now, hmm...maybe she should consider a model career instad of tennis career:mrgreen:
Novak Djokovic advanced to quarterfinals, YAY!
And good luck to Viktor Troicki with Andy Murray, I'd feel said whoever lose this match:S

Last year when Francesca Schiavone won Roland Garros i thought: "it's a Miracle!!"
And now... could a miracle happen twice?
