Huh? So you are saying Switzerland team on purpose doesn't want to win. This belongs to conspiracy theories and like come on.

Staging is beautiful, bright pink outfit with darker background fits perfectly and him spinning looks really beautiful and effective. Like I don't have any critic regarding background, staging. It looks impressive. The song is beautiful.

Like we are in Sweden. Sweden is not any less expensive than Switzerland and it's not like team is financing hotel costs themselves, most of them are going by TV taxes..
I personally don't mind it either, and I love the song and I'd love for Switzerland to win (it's been since Celine Dion was a newbie to the industry!) but lots of people seem to dislike it a lot.

Well you are Croatian. So ofcourse you are not objective and your opinion I don't take seriously your opinion when talking about your biggest competition.. I see a lot of hate from Croatian fans specifically towards biggest competition.
Get a life.
There's literally people from multiple countries saying the same or similar thing.
I tried to ignore you since some things became pretty clear, so leave me out of your Croatia obsessed and unhinged posts.

Nemo's song is a masterpiece.

Their vocal skills are strong and they can deliver it.

The staging is perfect. Sober but functional.

The final pose makes me think of action/super-hero movies. Very classy.

But the outfit is hideous. It's a true sabotage. It has no meaning, it does not strengthen anything, it is simply ridiculous. Anyone would look ridiculous dressed up like that.

That's why we're not going to win. And it makes me sad.

I feel like there is someone at EBU whispering to the Swiss delegation anytime they have a winning-worthy song "pls make your staging and styling really artsy and conceptual and therefore divisive, we don't want you to win because you're too expensive causing more countries to drop out"

At least no one can blame Sacha Jean-Baptiste this time.

His vocals were never at question ! Because of his live he became number one favorite. Still not sure about the performance, too empty at what we saw so far, while the official video is quite intriguing, this performance gives one funny costume and a spin.

Well, I would actually say Baptiste did great with both Marius Bear and Remo Forrer. You can debate about that staging Gjon's Tears got, but it kinda "worked" imo although it just felt a bit too much for that song.

I actually loved the "Tout l'univers" performance and staging (forever my fave Swiss entry probably.)

SJB did a really good job for Switzerland. I never got the negativity from some people towards her.

Same thoughts here but I still think Switzerland is the number one favourite (It won't be a landslide victory if Nemo wins, but I think the package to win it all is there).

I am really curious how it will look like on tv. but in general everything is a bit too strange (costume, platform, song) to make it a winner.

Costume and a spin, hard coreography even risky one, camera angles, complex and very difficult song all that accompanied with spinning. What else do you need Mr. Stage director??? Please tell us how can you do it better and does it even need more. Like this is already super effective and he will stand out.

Chill out! UK for example looks like to be able to to take the dynamic of the video and a song into the stage! Nemo was quite original in his official music video, it followed the dynamic of the song and it was interesting to witness. Let’s see if his live performance will match that energy. From what I saw so far it didn’t. His hideous dress did not help either.

Ohhh it won't win because it dropped in the odds? I'm sorry what? Odds is dinamic thing and have nothing to do with actual results in Eurovision. Many times odds failed to guess a winner.
i dont mean because of that. i just stated that it dropped in odds too

I see now when people were calling me obsessed with the Bulgarian entries years ago what they meant. 🤣 I like this song, his vocals are wonderful as well, his performance not so sure to fit the song, that’s my personal opinion. Sorry once again to mention UK, but they didn’t bring the house, yet managed to recreate the dynamic. But will wait to see the whole package to judge it.

And ofc we still didn't hear the answer to my question. I guess you will have to wait the whole package to judge. That's right. Finally we agree on something.

I find it amusing how people are fretting over the performance. Meanwhile I'm worried over here that the song that's sitting second from last in my ranking might actually win Eurovision now.

The outfit could have been way worse. I'd take pink Muppet over 4 year old girl's birthday party tutu matched with granny's cardigan as seen in the music video. The look now is leaning more towards whacky fun rather than cringe.. although the latter still might apply to an extent for some.

The performance itself needed to be something bold and memorable to get the public on board. Despite the fan bubble hype, this always had all the markings of a jury darling fave that then struggles with the public for being too precocious and self indulgent (after all, it's Gjon's Tears in a different coat). The prop Nemo is using genuinely looks impressive and quite daring. Nemo has a tonne of skill and talent to be able to sing like they are able to whilst working the spinning top. It's really going to be something for the public to remember the song by and it's gonna help. It was needed big time.

The Code as I've described it before has always to me felt like a novelty entry for people that don't like novelty entries. The kind who each year go around lamenting the state of the contest, wanting "real music" to return. I really hope something that feels less contrived and forced wins but I'm preparing myself for my least favoured scenario now.
