I'm also in team Playground, but Sebaltar is a good second for me. However; I don't think we heard the winner of Eurovision 2019 in this selection.

I don't understand why they have to let us hear all shitty songs, just pick one good damn it...

Well I see many like "Playground", but I can't see this do well in ESC, way too childish in the sound for me. Sebalter is probably the song that could do the best revamp out of these, and possibly narrowly qualify to a final, but still nothing certain. I always seen the Italian speaking channel as the weakest in recent years when it comes to Eurovision, so I am sure either french or german will do better.

Re: SWITZERLAND 2019

I listened to the songs a few times more since I sometimes need more listenings to judge a song, but I still can't find a song to feel REALLY attached to. Still a huge disappointment. I hope there will soon come better songs from other nations!!!

News from RSI: the following three songs have moved on to the next phase of their selection process!

Julia Meletta - Mama (I Walk Alone)
Sebalter - We'll Carry The Light
Scilla Hess - Playground

The process for SRF and RTS is under way

I don't know how "Mama" got first place. When I listened to it about an hour ago , it sounded like a toothpaste commercial. Very happy for Sebalter

Sebalter's song has very strong revamp potential. Really like the celtic vibes.

Don't know much about Luca Hänni… as singer not my case, but I am always ready as long as it is a decent song. Let's see if that rumor is true.

Other rumors include Ruth Lorenzo and Tinkara Kovac. Wouldn't be the first time. Beside Luxemburg, Switzerland is perhaps the country that had the most acts representing without being actually swiss.

Those 2 are in the Jury.

Interesting that Ruth and Tinkara were on the international jury, both competed in Sebalter's year

Re: SWITZERLAND 2019

I´m not familiar with how a Swiss representative will be chosen in the end, but I did listen to the 13 songs that were submitted by RSI.

I have to say, there are some pretty decent tunes in this line-up. I kinda disagree with the majority here who don´t find this line-up promising.

Anyways, here is my top 5:

1. Karin Cerini - Sorry
2. TH3O - One more time
3. Scillia Hess - Playground
4. Sebalter - We'll carry the light
5. Max Deste - Dove finisce il giorno

Its a real pity that Karin and TH30 are now eliminated.

From the remaining top 3, this would be my ranking:

1. Scillia Hess - Playground
2. Sebalter - We'll carry the light
3. Julie Meletta - Mama (I walk alone)

Re: SWITZERLAND 2019

It's quite interesting that the official Swiss Eurovision account started to follow Lucca Hänni on Twitter. I mean that's why those rumors came in.

Personally, I think he would be a great entrant and representative. He has a stunning voice and he is handsome and will be an eye-catcher, for sure. He simply needs a very instant and interesting song and Switzerland will get its best shot at qualifying in years!
Hope those rumors will turn into reality
