Switzerland SWITZERLAND 2014 - Sebalter - Hunter of Stars

I only just listened to the six finalists, and I think they're all quite mediocre... "Hunter of Stars" is probably still the best out of them.
"Au Paradis" and "I Still Believe" (even though the latter seems to be the favourite) are actually my least favourite out of the 6 songs to be honest, they just sound like unmemorable standard radio songs to me.

I agree Matt,the song is pretty poor,though she does has very good vocals.They might re-work the song.Its pretty obvious though the jury have knocked out as many televote friendly songs as possible.They and/or the producers want Yasmina to win.That is why they have selected such weak opposition.
No jury would of selected those other 5.They weren't even close to the standard so its obvious why.
The producers will probably help Yasmina all the way as well with the best staging/running order etc.Doesnt say shel win,but its who they want for sure.

If that is all true why even bother with a NF? I mean if the broadcaster desperately wants one particular act to represent them, just go with an internal selection. Or are they worried that if they would go that route, the Swiss public would be pissed for not having a say in it?

Yes, Yasmina sounds great but the song is just so generic and bleh so I really hope for a different song to win this.

yeah, it's dated trash and it has nothing to do in ESC cause juries would automatically kill it, but it's amaaazing!!!

In case Switzerland wants to do well, I'd suggest to send Sebalter. His song is different and is the only interesting song that can make the difference in ESC. The rest of the songs are so boring.

After reading the comments I thought I wouldn't like anything and I've nearly skipped the whole thing, so I was happily surprised to find out that sebater's hunter of stars is really very very nice. Hope they pick it!

Yasmina's is just another one of those... they have sung it so many times before one wonders why they bother.

Is there really a Jury this year in the swiss national final. I hope so. I am watching right now the live performances, and I have no words for Together forever. I had to stop watching / hearing. The chorus is soooo awful sung. I really hope, that this crap will not get the Ticket to Copenhagen. The best chances with Juries have Yasmina and Christian.

Well if there is a French speaking member in the jury, he will notice that the lyrics of "Au paradis" are the cheesiest a French ear have ever heard... It sounds like the parody of the musicals by famous comic Gad Elmaleh. It always makes me laugh !

Juries supported Anna Rossinelli and Sinplus indeed. I expect them to go for Sebalter, or yasmina hunzinger. It will go between those two.

Well, tomorrow, there will be a documentary about the "Swiss Miracle" where they will explain we are the thiord world (as they like to call France...) and they are the best people in Europe... maybe they can tell us about that crappy Eurovision selection none other country would dare !

I think it's already been proven it works well live. At least I was convinced - the whistling also works live, and though his voice is far from perfect, he's singing a genre where it doesn't really have to be. As far as I'm concerned, there is still only one song in the Swiss NF that would make sense to send to ESC, and that is Hunter of Stars.
