I actually find it creative. It contains titles of ESC entries. I don't think it's plagiarism or anything, otherwise all songs that contained the word "love" would have been plagiarism as well.

Of course there are much more horrible ones when whole method sucks, it's full of homemade garbage and talent is a smth which lacks in this preselection primary! :? It scares me to death.. :?

IMO, there are some NFs with so called professional productions that are as bad. At least such songs from the Swiss NF make us laugh, IMO it's better than have a bunch of decent but forgettable and boring songs.

Hej everybody… just browsed this interesting thread.
As "A-lister" said earlier: "Nearly 65% of the Swiss population are German speaker". Hm.. quite a big share. So: Why not a German song? Or, even better: Schwyzerduetsch, Swiss German. THIS is what Switzerland makes special. Ok, besides Rhaeto-Romanic, which would be a bit too much.

Just listened to "30 days and 30 nights". Nice, I like it. But: It tootles, and somewhen it's over. Stuff like millions of other songs.
Have a look at this years semi final: Switzerland failed with "Takasa / On the road: You And Me". Once again: I liked it, it's still in my running playlist.
But, as the commentator on TV said: "Fun fair music, replaceable with millions of other songs".

In contrast to this guy, why not send him to Copenhagen:

He sings Swiss-German, you see that he sings because he loves to do so… good voice... and don't forget: A significant share of the audience is gay and will love such a smart performance.
And "Michael Hasenfratz", come on... which name could be more authentic? ;-)

This song has great instrumentation and style (I have a weakness for this kind of music) but I'm not so fond of the vocal part and his accent. It's pleasant though.

wow. I'm actually quite disapointed. :? I don't really like any of the three songs. The first i just can't get my head round her voice and vocals, The second is incredibly boring and totally forgettable, and the final to be honest is the best of the bunch, but still not my cup of tea.

Not a good start in the Swiss selection - tbh I don´t like any of the three selected entries posted above.

If I had to rank them:
1. Jasmine Mossier - Higher Love
2. SebAlter - Hunter of Stars
3. Valentino Alfano - 103 Parole

well just listened to them all and just like the 3 from the other channel, i don't think much to any of them to be honest. If i push it i think Tanita - Another Day Alone is the best. Don't think Switzerland will enter my top for 2014 carrying on this rate.
