^ Eh, fans constitute a very small proportion of the total electrorate as well. Otherwise the finals results could not differ so much from those of various polls on fan sites.

Exactly.

Not 98%, but rather 85-90%. Eurofans are significant part of contest viewers.

Hmm no. Around 150M people watch Eurovision every year. Do you actually think that 15% of 150 M, which is 22.5 M are Eurofans?
Do you think there are 22.5 M people following contest news and forums

Maybe contest is watched by more casual viewers than Eurofans, but rather more Eurofans vote than casual viewers.

I don't think so. It's like CC said, there is too many voters for the majority to be fans. Besides, as CC said as ell, if the majority was fan votes then the televotes would reflect the polls much more than they do.
I suppose it's not just 1% like in the viewers case, but it isn't much either.

Hmm Lys Assia featuring a Norwegian Metal band instead of a German Hip-Hip Reggae Reggae group this year?

I listened to some of the songs today, but didn´t spot a really good one.
But there´s still lots of time. I wonder, if Lys Assia will send a song again :-)

There's actually a song in finnish there? Why didn't they send it to UMK?
Are you imagining a song in Finnish representing Switzerland though?

They both sent it to UMK, but got eliminated and are therefore allowed to publish it (and enter the Swiss selection with it). I'm a fan of Pöytä osaa puhua's entry. :D
There's a singer (Anna-Kaisa) from Finland as well, but at least that song isn't in Finnish.

That song by Pöytä osaa puhua made me wonder more about the Finnish language.

Care to elaborate? I'm unable to find something particularly strange about that song language-wise, but it may be because it's so unorthodox in other ways.
