I wont even suggest artist. They just need to give their artist a better staging. I might get stones from this but still think You and me is a good song but their presentation.... they just stand there...... their song is intense and they just stand there.....Also their background look like its from Saw movie.

If they had the same staging they had for their NF (background and movements with Christoph/Sarah and Jonas' big finish), maybe they could have opened a few more eyes. Nonetheless, "You and Me" is still a terrific song

Switzerland was doing well with French-speaking singers from Canada - Celine Dion and Annie Cotton. Maybe SRG SSR should again choose someone, from this North American country ?

I doubt the singer is a crucial factor to what the outcome concerns. If they want to send something in French they could equally pick someone from Switzerland's French-speaking area, it wouldn't make any difference. As for the songs themselves, I think they are no good examples for what could be successful as times and voting systems have changed since then. A ballad that sounds like :ch: 1993 would probably end up with 0 points in televoting now.

I don't like such process to choose representative. But maybe finally Helvetians will find a awesome song and will end contest in final, on good place. I can't believe that they have such good developed music industry, and couldn't get a good result on Eurovision.

Chiara Dubey for once please. Anima nuova was a masterpiece!

I prefer her 2013 attempt - "Bella sera"...but she is not very confident live, unfortunately.. :( but both are good compositions..

Switzerland finally made a true thing to do. When they picked the song firstly, even Eurofans love the song, until the may, with other songs revealed after Switzerland, Switzerland always got low favourite. I blame Sinplus' failure because of that. Takasa is not different at all. Great choice, Sweetzerland!

Good step from Switzerland... December was a bit early for their NF imo.

You blame Sinplus' failure for that? 98% of the people that watch the show in may haven't heard the songs before, so Switzerland was in the same situation as all the other countries for them.

Disappointed that we're losing our season opener for 2014. The quality of the songs in the Swiss final isn't often that good, but it has good production values and was a great way of easing us into NF season. I'll also miss going through the submitted entries in September.

Not 98%, but rather 85-90%. Eurofans are significant part of contest viewers.

Viewers' 98% or 90% or 80% may be watching for the first time. But voters' 98% or 90% or 80% are the one fans of Eurovision and follow the news all year long just like us. There are differences between viewers and voters.

^ Eh, fans constitute a very small proportion of the total electrorate as well. Otherwise the finals results could not differ so much from those of various polls on fan sites.

Is there any official result from EBU? As my first watching of Eurovision, back in 2011, I loved Romania and Hungary very much. But I didn't vote for any of them. Because it was unnecessary to vote to me for such a TV show. No one spends his/her money for a show just watches once a year on TV and that's all to him/her.

Otherwise the finals results could not differ so much from those of various polls on fan sites.
As an Eurovision fan I never voted for a song on internet until today. I would say that those fan sites have a very small proportion of the total fan voters.

Is there any official result from EBU?

In past years the EBU had released the total amount of tele and SMS votes they received and as far as I remember it was a lower eight-digit-number. At least it ran into several millions whilst there are probably a few thousand fans worldwide.
